Appointment of Mr Tim Wilson as Human Rights Commissioner : Comments

By Sev Ozdowski, published 23/12/2013

During the six years of Labor government various new positions were created on the AHRC. The budget was significantly increased but the government did not manage to find time to appoint a new commissioner.

Hopefully we will see a balance with Tim Wilson - rights for everyone to believe and say what they think, and not just the absurd parody we have suffered with socialist-appointed stooges, interested only minorities and weirdo left fascism 'ideals'.

I know absolutely nothing of Tim Wilson but the criticism seems itself
to be a denial of human rights.

If the commission are all singing from the same hymnbook then I would
suggest that a number of its members need replacing.
It is a matter of historical fact that left governments have always
led to oppressive governments.
Has anyone ever heard of a fully democratic left wing government ?

I meant to add;

It seems that the vociferous left always knows better than the rest of us.
AND DON'T YOU FORGET IT !

Bazz,
Nope, model "democracy" Sweden doesn't even have a free press or freedom of speech.
Anything which contradicts the myth of equality is categorised as "hate" and immediately woven by the opinion shapers into the narrative of 20th century political extremism, they literally drag everyone back to the 1930's every time the dogmas of formal equality are questioned.
The author's points are well and good but the people who shape opinion in this country (who are not all Leftists BTW) paint every attempt at dissent as a precursor to acts of violence and when in doubt they simply make up stories that seem to fit the narrative.

Here's one recent example of how dissent is portrayed (or created out of whole cloth) in the capitalist media:
How the press sets up a protest crackdown:

Further examples from the U.K of the way opinion shapers distort stories to fit their world view.

Why would the HRC attend the trial of the serial racist liar Andrew Bolt?

SEv, you lost all credibility when you announced we should traffic humans to Manus Island.
