Appointment of Mr Tim Wilson as Human Rights Commissioner : Comments

By Sev Ozdowski, published 23/12/2013

During the six years of Labor government various new positions were created on the AHRC. The budget was significantly increased but the government did not manage to find time to appoint a new commissioner.

J of M. "White Liberals are just as intimidated by the people beginning with J and the people beginning with M as non Liberals because we all understand that we have no protection under the law from predatory or particularly litigious ethnic associations and individuals.". Hmmm.. Still thinking on that one, take your point with respect to some aspects of this comment.

Beaucoupbob. Well said that man! I am with Wantok with regard to the questions posed. Whilst the 'politics' is evident as identified by Imajulianutter, Bazz and others, this is, I feel, just the beginning of the fundamental 'game on' for the culture wars essential to our democracy and freedoms.

That Jillian Triggs 'opens' with a whinge about the salary drawn by Tim and the need to cut some nanny program, one could draw the conclusion that it is 15/love in the first week.

The Left are without a moral framework when hypocrisy is factored in.

The questions I pose;
Are the human rights organisations Quislings ?
Where will they stand when push comes to shove ?
Do the Human Rights organisations recognise the Cairo Declaration of
Human Rights as well as the United Nations Declaration of Human rights ?
That last is a very serious question and I have never heard it asked.
In the event of a war between Islam and the UN/"West" where will they stand ?

Looked at in the sweep of history it seems very likely a war will break
out over energy and food. Will Islamic armies enter Europe "to protect"
Moslems, a la The Sudatenland ?
Who will be the "Hitler image" ?
Will an Indonesian/Malaysian Islamic army enter Australia "to protect Moslems" ?

Or is this something that not even Nostradamus would dream up ?

A few more of these type of appointments, & retiring of some old ones, & we could actually end up with a Human Rights Commission that looked after the rights of all us worker ants.

It would be quite a change, if we actually got to have a say. Now the only people entitled to any rights, human or otherwise, are the lefty elite, like the current commissioners & their staff, & those they choose to label as underprivileged.
