Why is this all about the Democrats?

There were significant Republican figures, many hand-picked and very close to Trump, who ultimately decided to defend the Constitution, the election result, and the checks and balances in the American system of government.

My post is more about them than any political theatre or otherwise. Mind you the Republicans are far more enamoured by political theatre than the Democrats have ever been.

But people like Mike Pence, Bill Barr, Pat Cipollone can't be dismissed by people like you as never-Trumpers. They baulked at crossing that final line of insurrection and I for one am prepared to acknowledge them for it.
