When people say The West- some distinction perhaps needs to be used in which West is being referred to.

Ukrainians were conned & probably conned each other also just like the mob that followed Moses. Why ? Because they too were blinded by promises of a Western style of perceived easy existence.
What they'll come to realise is that the worst Westerners are those who adopted themselves to the West rather than the Westerners themselves !
