Foxy,
The government itself issued Djokovic a Visa to enter Australia but there was a recent change in restriction that was not picked up at the issuing end. Meanwhile there was a lot of negative media attention happening about RAT test availability so Morrison played his popular "tough on borders" card, found a loophole and cancelled the original Visa. Unfortunately the judge disagreed and now they need to "save face" and at least make the threat of deportation, as if our International reputation wasn't already in tatters.

I'm no fan of tennis in general or Djokovic in particular but unless he is actually infected I don't think he represents a huge threat to the community. After all there are thousands of unvaxxed walking our streets now and since the hasty suspension of QR codes and mask restrictions (for quick political gain) things are getting out of control.

The attitude of some seems to be that it's a scam by Big Pharma or it's just to hard or impractical to do anything about it at all. It may as well be a scam by "Big QR" to promote their technology.

Meanwhile my daughter - a midwife at John Hunter Hospital - has been working double shifts and the A&E ward recently had a 35 hour waiting time. Today I heard of a trained nurse who gave birth on her bathroom floor and couldn't get an ambulance so while she gave her baby CPR her husband drove her to the hospital himself. but let's all get worked up about a tennis player and all will be well.

Surprise, surprise, one only relo in Melbourne has been hospitalised with the virus, and he is not vaxxed at all, a true anti-vaxxer. Others in the family down there also have Covid, but with being vaxxed they are only suffering mild symptoms.

Just to report on my next door neighbor, he's doing fine, we keep in touch by phone. He had a little bit more symptoms than us for 2 days temp, hot flushes, etc, said he's coming good now, his wife is still ok, but doesn't want to waste their last RAT on herself, she thinks she is neg.

Foxy, you'll like this one, the wife believes she has the cure for COVID, Vicks rub, hot fresh lemon and honey drink, plus double vaccination. Worked for her.

rache,
I doubt that very much, it would have been some incompetent Labor supporting bureaudroid who issued the Visa.

21 year old right-wing when it suits him, SkyNews's Caleb Bond, says Australia has been humiliated. Humiliated yes, but not in the way Bond, who sides with the Serb, thinks. We have been humiliated by our own piss week government for allowing a judge to take over our ìmmigration law. The Serb should have been put on a plane back to Serbia as soon as possible after his visa was cancelled by Border Force. As for the self-righteous, anti-Australian Serbs, remember Bosnia.

The Immigration Minister can still cancel the visa under Section 133(3) of the Migration Act. Let's see if he has what it takes to do just that.
