The government itself issued Djokovic a Visa to enter Australia but there was a recent change in restriction that was not picked up at the issuing end. Meanwhile there was a lot of negative media attention happening about RAT test availability so Morrison played his popular "tough on borders" card, found a loophole and cancelled the original Visa. Unfortunately the judge disagreed and now they need to "save face" and at least make the threat of deportation, as if our International reputation wasn't already in tatters.
I'm no fan of tennis in general or Djokovic in particular but unless he is actually infected I don't think he represents a huge threat to the community. After all there are thousands of unvaxxed walking our streets now and since the hasty suspension of QR codes and mask restrictions (for quick political gain) things are getting out of control.
The attitude of some seems to be that it's a scam by Big Pharma or it's just to hard or impractical to do anything about it at all. It may as well be a scam by "Big QR" to promote their technology.
Meanwhile my daughter - a midwife at John Hunter Hospital - has been working double shifts and the A&E ward recently had a 35 hour waiting time. Today I heard of a trained nurse who gave birth on her bathroom floor and couldn't get an ambulance so while she gave her baby CPR her husband drove her to the hospital himself. but let's all get worked up about a tennis player and all will be well.
