When Djokovic initially applied for a Visa the Department of Home Affairs should have asked him about his vaccination status and any exemptions he might have been seeking.
If he refused to satisfactorily answer these questions, his visa application should have been refused, but it was granted.
Being granted that visa he would have been allowed to board a plane to Australia.
There are Australian Border Force officers at overseas airport who assist airline staff to decide who can board a plane to Australia.
Therefore the fault lies with Border Force officials who wrongly permitted him entry and Djokovic can argue in court there has been no change in his situation since the Visa was granted.
Meanwhile this ridiculous situation - granting him a visa, allowing him to land and then revoking the visa - plays well with the media and is a handy distraction from RATS and other mishandled COVID matters.
