What about a new way? Everyone who loves lock downs retreats to their home, forgoes any income and remains safe. People like me will go about their daily business as usual. Now if you home-stayers are right we me and me mates will all die and in a few months time you meek will inherit the earth.
Who is going to support me on all the bad dying and the virtuous get the world?

Dear JBowyer,

So your solution is to take the freedoms away from the majority so a selfish minority gets theirs.

Nah mate, it seems things are getting sorted out now just fine. WA aren't going to be letting anyone in without a vaccination certificate. If you want to fly overseas you will need to be vaccinated just like the old days.

Don't you worry your little head over it, the grown ups will prevail.

Whatever your name is Steelie. You have no freedoms, you nong! Cannot go out, everything shut and most small business going bust. I never realised what a parsimonious crowd you lefties were, the true puritans. Well let me tell you girlie sex, drugs and rock and roll will always prevail and you and your mates will certainly get yours. Now off under your bed with your bowl of gruel!

Dear JBowyer,

You really are a daft bugger aren't you. Lol.

Something something roos in the top paddock.

Ah well, itdoes take all kinds.

So tell me, which country do you think has handled the pandemic the best given you think we have done such a dismal job here?

And just bye the bye you need to watch who you are calling a girlie because you mate are the very epitome of someone who can't handle a lockdown or to be wearing a mask or whatever other community behaviour that would let us get on top of this.

Back during the Spanish Flu you had to wear a mask, you couldn't get within 15 paces of others, and if you wanted to go from Victoria to NSW you had to camp in the bush for 10 days.

Now we have soft flogs like you screaming blue murder because you are asked to stay in the comfort of your own home or a nice hotel. What tossers. Man up for once you ponce!

SR this obsession you, and others, have with covid is very disconcerting. See we had three bigger flu pandemics last century and I was in the 1957 and 1968 ones. My memory is that in the first they talked about closing our school but didn't. My older brother was in the BAOR in an army camp where he told me he and most of the camp got the flu. In 1968 my Mother and Sister caught it but even sharing the house, my brother and my Dad and I were OK.
Here is my dilemma, we got through both without any of your girlie bed wetting nonsense of lock downs.
Were we intrinsically tougher than cissy boy Steelie or what?
I see your Chinese overlords have had another TV film showing more lock downs to ensure you hold the line on ruining Australia too.

Dear JBowyer,

The 1968 Hong Kong Flu killed around 1 million world wide. We are currently well over 4 million and haven't seen the back of this by a long shot.

"The World Health Organization estimated the case fatality rate of Hong Kong flu to be lower than 0.2%."
Wikipedia

"The overall CFR for Australia for COVID-19 as at 31 August was 2.7%."
ABS

So you are beating your chest over a disease which was a tenth as brutal as Covid?

What an nancy boy.

Man up for goodness sake. You are an embarrassment.

Back during the Spanish Flu in Australia the developed an experimental vaccine quick smart. Don't imagine they would have had the number of whingers flapping their gums about a tiny risk of an adverse outcome. They just got on with it.

"Commonwealth Serum Laboratories was established during the First World War to alleviate Australia’s dependence on imported vaccines. In 1918 it developed its first, experimental vaccine in anticipation of pneumonic influenza reaching mainland Australia.

Researchers did not know what caused influenza, but produced a vaccine that addressed the more serious secondary bacterial infections that were likely to cause death.

Between 15 October 1918 and 15 March 1919, CSL produced three million free doses for Australian troops and civilians. It later evaluated the vaccines to be partially effective in preventing death in inoculated individuals."
