Is Mise,

Absolutely not!

Let's call it what it will be remembered in history as: The Trump Insurrection of January 6, 2020.

Mr Opinion- I think all humans have undiagnosed mental illnesses- that is part of the contemporary doctor monopoly- a legacy of Liberalism- which was once managed by family- maybe it's the doctors that have the illnesses. Sounds like a good time for a toast to us in our salon- "may our perspicacity be long and our delusions short... and vigorous. Cheers"

Mhaze,

Of course. But for all that and all that, do you really think that, if there was a gigantic fraud perpetrated in every electoral office across the country, not a single electoral official - Democrat or Republican or Independent - spilled the beans about it, even accidentally, to anyone ?

Another thing: the Capitol buildings are under the authority of the city authorities of Washington DC, ultimately under the Mayor. So the thugs may not have breached federal laws, but may have breached city [municipal] laws. Any incitement for them to mindlessly riot therefore also may have breached city laws.

So if Trump incited those thugs before pissing off back to the safety of the White House, then is it possible that he broke some Washington city laws ? Once he is no longer King or Dictator, can he be charged for the incitement to riot and to illegally trespass on iconic national property ? Will he be allowed to leave the White House and slink back to Florida unscathed ?

Or will he be arrested as a common criminal, held until his trial, tried and jailed ? If treason is added to his charge sheet, and it is still punishable by the death penalty, how long before he is executed ? Gosh, wouldn't that be terrible ?!

The justice system is now in play and I assume we will get to see the post Trump insurrection soap opera play out on our TV screens and in the media for some time yet.

It might just turn out to be bigger than Watergate.

And with world attention focused on Trump getting his comeuppance it might just be the moment Foul-Mouth's buddies in Beijing are looking for to launch a strike against Taiwan.

Yes, Misop, I hope that Biden has been in constant private talks with the US military leaders about that possibility. These next ten days or so, and the months afterwards, will be crucial in setting US policy, in taking the most effective practical measures to protect Taiwan, and position fleets and air defences across the western Pacific.

If China were to attack its neighbours (as I think it will within the next five or ten years, maybe far sooner), then which country will it go for first ? Japan ? South Korea ? Vietnam ? India ? It's had a go at all of them, so they all have bitter memories of Chinese aggression. Perhaps it will mop up small countries like Nepal and Bhutan first, sort of trial runs. But those others will fight like hell. And China has had its arse kicked by some of them, notably Vietnam.

Yes, eventually, if the Chinese totalitarians succeed in invading those countries, then the Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, many Pacific countries, and eventually Australia and NZ will be next.

But will China have time - or will it grow old before it builds up enough military strength OR won't that matter, given that modern military technology can be operated by people of any age, it doesn't depend on young and fit soldiers any more ?

But still, if I were you, I would piss off from China ASAP, without telling your handler.

Joe
