Hi Is Mise,
Yes, and adding: "unprecedented, and causing the loss of five lives." Bugger-all really. Joe Posted by loudmouth2, Sunday, 10 January 2021 11:25:11 AM

Loud mouth2, It seems to be true that fraud did not happen everywhere.
There are a number of sworn affidavits (a false affidavit is a criminal offense.) One such that I saw in Michigan I think it was, was by an IT consultant who was on site in case there were problems. She saw mishandling of the ballots, If one was misread by the mark sensing terminal instead of the ballot that was misread the whole batch was put through again. The computer that the mark sensing terminals were connected to had the facility for the operator to pick out the faulty ballot mark it as it seems voter intended or disregard that ballot and accept the rest of the batch. That was not done the whole batch were reread. Poor training perhaps. The other point in the affidavit was that the IT consultant noticed that the computer was connected to a network. She attempted to find out where the connection went as it went outside the building and that was contrary to the specs. She attempted to look further into it but was brusquely told to mind her own business and get back behind the barrier.. She presented that evidence at a state government hearing but it was not taken up by the state senate panel. There were a number like that and the manual shows that there is a feature for a remote terminal to enter and change data. It is wide open for fraud and was written to fiddle the Venezuelan elections. Posted by Bazz, Sunday, 10 January 2021 11:26:12 AM

“There are Democratic states and Republican states. In each state (and territory), the state government appoints its own electoral officials - isn't that so ?”
No. As in – not even close.
Firstly, while there are some states that a wholly red or blue (eg California) they are a rarity. Most states have combinations of Republican governors and Democrat legislatures, or one house red and another blue or any of the myriad combinations of that (eg Pennsylvania).
Whatismore, even if one side or t’other currently holds sway, that doesn’t necessarily mean that they can unilaterally set new rules or appoint new electoral overseers. Checks and balances often make such things quite difficult.
Further, in many states the local county has a large degree of autonomy over their election. If you followed this with any degree of scepticism you’d have heard about Fulton County in Georgia which in a large part responsible for the electoral fraud in that state.
Finally, you make the mistake of thinking of Republicans and Democrats as though they are Libs and Labs. But the situation in the US is much more fluid than that. You’ll remember that Trump, an outsider, had to beat 16 Republican insiders to get the nomination in 2016. Well some of those insiders and their supporters never accepted the result and continue to believe they can retake control of the party for their own benefit if only Trump were gone. These are the so-called never-Trumpers. The head electoral officer in Georgia, a nominal Republican, is also a never-Trumper. His actions, or lack thereof, demonstrate a desire to be rid of Trump in the hope that he and his like can resume their previous privileged position. The welfare of the nation and the democracy runs a distant second in the minds of such people.
So, LM, what you say is way too simplistic. But that’s OK. The whole media push to deny the obvious fraud is based on people’s simplistic understand of the facts.
