Dear Shadow Minister,

What self serving rubbish mate. This is one of the top independent analysts in the UK. You don't get to be the lead economist at JP Morgan unless you know a thing or two. If you have some one of equal or greater standard who has taken your line instead then how about you produce them.

At to the experts on how the deal fared with regard to fishing it was you who introduced and quoted from the National Federation of Fishermen's Organisations not me. It is only after they spoke truth to the wash up of the so called deal that you cut them loose.

Bloody hell mate, isn't it a sh1tty world when your own experts turn against you.

You really are a great antidote to a rather depressing year. Thanks for the giggles.

Fact is that the EU should have told 'global Britain' to hop it years ago..... for being an eternal pain in the arse and demanding special treatment because..?

Like OLO, IPA and CIS are linked to Koch Atlas Network, in the UK it's the IEA, Taxpayers' Alliance and the Tory political activists in the ERG parliamentary group, all the latter were doing the bidding of US radical right libertarians joined at the hip with white nationalism or WASP exceptionalism.

How many Australian political activists and grifters round NewsCorp, the LNP or IPA promoted Brexit (and Trump) and antipathy towards Asia i.e. Howard, Downer, Abbott, Sheridan, Kevin Andrews et al., while promoting and/or approving of white Christian nationalism aka Bannon, Miller, Trump et al.?

Even if British companies find alternative markets (and/or maintaining a presence in the EU), their new markets, especially if selling to supply chains for onward export of goods/services to the EU, will demand compliance with EU standards and regulations, the 'Brussels Effect'.

The whole idea of increased UK global trade is a fanatasy to mask the right wing libertarian coup, especially when Britain realises that it is at the 'back of the queue', outside of desperate Downing Street spin.

SR,

Your silly whining is even worse than that of the retarded Greta. What your "expert" has pointed out is that even if the UK fishermen haven't received 100% of the fishing quota in UK waters it has increased over every single species immediately and will continue to grow for the next 5.5 years which is a significant win for anyone except a demented remoaner.

That these quotas exist for only 5.5 years is something that your "expert" neglected after which the UK can take back 100% of the quota if it so pleases.

Secondly, you have assiduously avoided addressing the massive gains in the other 5 areas that I first brought up, as it clearly demolishing your argument making you look like a massive twat.

To quote
"The cut to European quotas will exceed 25% for some species, such as the mackerel the Margolles hunt in British waters in May and June and which represent 80% of their earnings during these months.

The family operation and the fishing fleet in Boulogne-sur-Mer, from where the white cliffs of Britain’s southern shore can be seen, would need to adapt to survive, Margolle said.

That might mean turning to alternative species and fishing methods, and downsizing the local fleet, which will be easier if the government helps people to retire.

“In the five years we have ahead of us, we will have to get out of our comfort zone,” Margolle said. “Because the fleet as it is will not survive the five years. That’s clear.”

Hasbeen,

It just dawned on me that you have a fascist streak in you.

The idea that you see yourself as some sort of superman, your hatred of socialism and your extreme right views all mark you off as a fascist.

Do you have life-size prints of Hitler and Mussolini hanging on your walls at home?

Do you like your friends to call you Fuhrer or Duce?

It's incredible; how did I not see it earlier?

Now that Britain has successfully left the EU and done a deal, the EU will be crapping bricks waiting for other countries to do the same.

ttbn,

The EU has its roots in the ambitions of post-WW2 leaders to prevent further wars between nationalist states by denying them the economic means of waging war. This of course began with a Western Europe-wide control over steel and coal production needed to produce tanks, planes and guns, thus keeping a resurgence of nationalism in check.

Brexit in effect means that the UK will be able to use its sovereign access to these resources to enhance its military strength within a Britain-first strategy. Can the EU trust the UK will not become belligerent towards member nations of the EU? Will the Balkans become another powder keg where nationalists begin to lose trust in the EU to control disparate economies that will now be attempted to be regained through nationalist anxieties? Will Europe manifest itself into two neo-Cold War blocs: The West and a Russian led East.

Interesting times ahead.
