Some of the things that people like Foxy, Paul, LM an SR have fallen for over the past few years:

* The Russian collusion story
* The Steele dossier
* The Flynn collusion story
* The story that Trump had early access to the Wikileaks email dump
* Koi-gate
* The upside down bible
* The debunked Kavanaugh rape stories
* The Warren was an Indian
* The Charlottesville doctored quote
* The story of MLK's bust

Plus countless other made-up anti-Trump fables.
And all that's before we start talking about things like Foxy completely misunderstanding the Electoral College processes, or Paul/LM falling for the story about China moving troops to their borders to counter Trump etc.
And let's not forget that the claims that started this thread have fallen apart but were fervently believed by the usual suspects.

Yet despite all this evidence of monumental gullibility, these people somehow convince themselves that the people who DIDN'T fall for these fables are psychologically damaged fools.

There's no point trying to set them straight...they are beyond reason.

Dear Josephus,

My God man you are so far off the reservation that I think you are lost to us and I really don't know how to help.

Perhaps you might reflect on this message from a Methodist minister;

“"The unborn" are a convenient group of people to advocate for. They never make demands of you; they are morally uncomplicated, unlike the incarcerated, addicted, or the chronically poor; they don't resent your condescension or complain that you are not politically correct; unlike widows, they don't ask you to question patriarchy; unlike orphans, they don't need money, education, or childcare; unlike aliens, they don't bring all that racial, cultural, and religious baggage that you dislike; they allow you to feel good about yourself without any work at creating or maintaining relationships; and when they are born, you can forget about them, because they cease to be unborn. It's almost as if, by being born, they have died to you.

You can love the unborn and advocate for them without substantially challenging your own wealth, power, or privilege, without re-imagining social structures, apologizing, or making reparations to anyone. They are, in short, the perfect people to love if you want to claim you love Jesus but actually dislike people who breathe.

Prisoners? Immigrants? The sick? The poor? Widows? Orphans? All the groups that are specifically mentioned in the Bible? They all get thrown under the bus for the unborn.”

Foxy & SR,

Only 48 days to go (our time ) !

In the US, presidential elections effectively elect both a president and a vice-president: I'm a bit indifferent to Biden (he's my age, for god's sake !) but I have very high hopes for, and trust in, Kamala Harris.

Biden is more or less healthy, so he may run through his entire term with fewer disasters than Trumpf has inflicted on their poor country, so Harris may have to use those first four years to thoroughly understand the job, before she wins the 2024 and 2028 elections. I certainly wish her well.

Joe

Dear mhaze,

You were comprehensively torched on virtually all those but whenever evidence is placed under your nose you sniff at it, turn away, and go back to your adulation of your president. We could rinse and repeat if you like but given you are intent on drinking from the same cup as Josephus I'm not sure it would be all that productive. You struggle with the slightest bit of nuance unless it is the last bit of obfuscation you can employ to avoid admitting you stuffed up.

You did not provide a quote from WHO as you implied, rather one from an opinion piece. WHO's figure was not wrong and you have provided no evidence they directly asserted an IFR from it.

But tell me, you were once crowing that;

“Virtually every day brings new reductions in projections of the severity of the virus..."By Wednesday, the projection dropped the estimated total deaths to 60,415, revised down from 81,766 deaths, which was revised from down 93,531, a revised number itself.”
...
“So just like a normal flu season.”

Now that it has passed 200,000 are we able to include it in your list of getting it wrong yet again?

Also I was a bit bemused by your upside down bible. Turns out it blew up because the orange buffoon himself tweeted this out;

“A @FoxNews commentator just ripped me with lies, with nobody defending. They talked about “friendly” protesters (they set the Church on fire the day before. They were anything but friendly), and how I stood and held the Bible upside down – it wasn't upside down. @edhenry”

He held it the correct way up but this was mentioned on Fox News which he watches religiously and it was his response which drove the story of one of the most rightwing news outlets in the country.
