Never a dull moment in this circus: here's Trumpf in that right-wing rag, The Guardian:

"Trump says Covid-19 will 'go away' because of 'herd mentality'.

"US President Donald Trump has given a town hall [interview] in which he said that Covid-19 would go away without a vaccine.

"This would happen because of “herd mentality,” he said. It is unclear whether he meant heard immunity, as he repeated the phrase several times.

“It would go away without the vaccine George,” he said speaking to ABC journalist George Stephanopoulos. “With time it goes away. And you’ll develop like a herd mentality. It’s going to be herd developed, and that’s going to happen. That will all happen.”"

That paper, Foxy, mentioned the fascination with what might come next. Does Trumpf orchestrate these sorts of idiocies ? You think, what next ? How much dumber can he get ? And then he does.

Or is it infantile wishful-thinking ? I don't want there to be nasty aminals, so there won't be. And much of his political base supporters are - sorry, Josephus - equally geared to childish wishful thinking.

On postal voting rather than in-person voting: I can't see many Republicans standing in line for hours in early Winter, with the virus still raging. What's the bet that amazingly few votes will be counted on Election Night itself ? But trump- will still, come hell or high water, claim victory and try to shut down any further counting.
