Keep Christmas Island open,sent every arrival there
Send [make it a law and part of any such deal as Malaysian] all those who have no papers there to await transfer to that overseas country

Then give consideration to deliberate over stayers taking that same path

Not really - go along to any citizenship ceremony and you will find Muslims eager to integrate into Australian society.

And just this week, a white nationalist was found guilty of terrorist preparations.

Certainly, any terrorism charges should be treated very firmly. Sentences for terrorism should be longer, and such prisoners kept in isolation from each other. Frankly, I don't have much confidence in so-called deradicalisation.

Oh dear;There is only one group of people who are a significant problem.
Overstayers are not a problem, just hand them to the airline they came in on.
If they do not have a return ticket then we may have to pay the fare.
An alternate, visitors must have an open return ticket to be held by immigration.
The Malaysian solution was I think a non-solution. Being a Moslem
country I suspect they would just prepare them for another attempt.

No easy solutions it just needs a hard nosed attitude to be adopted.
Ignore the UNHCR committee, it is staffed by the worse human rights
countries on the planet.
