I looked after a third of my states forestry and national parks workers
They had highly trained firefighters and carried out winter burns
Even went overseas, the National parks included jumpers who, like Americans, had the ability to jump from planes to get right into fires Climate change? the lack of rain, the increasingly early start
climate change at work
Both forms of government cut and crippled those trained firefighters
As a result it has become impossible to burn off in winter
Tree huggers in any case uninformed as they are, sponsor firestorms by complaining about what is the only weapon, winter burns
Climate change, man made, is real

Hey Is Mise,

I read a different article that also quoted the Mayor of Glen Innes

http://www.theage.com.au/politics/federal/don-t-bring-the-politics-into-the-fire-what-people-in-the-thick-of-the-bushfires-are-saying-about-climate-change-20191111-p539iu.html

I thought another comment was telling.

Quote>>Merrie Hunt, Macksville Country Women's Association secretary: “[Mr McCormack] shouldn’t have said it. The fact is the people who used to work in the National Parks Service who were employed to clear the roads and care for the trees have all lost their jobs. They have put off all the workers on the ground and kept all the people in the offices. So the bush isn’t being managed like it used to be. I just think he shouldn’t have said that - this is a natural disaster and it's divisive.”<<

What I want to know is whether or not the Climate Change agenda is linked to the practices surrounding fire prevention and management.
It seems to me they have brought these changes in that increase the changes of larger out of control bushfires in order to ramp up the damage of said bushfires in order to provide extra narrative for supporting the Climate Change agenda.

I'm not blaming Climate Change.
I'm blaming the Climate Change agenda for poor management practices.

Most of current lot of politicians probably couldn't dress themselves or tie their own shoelaces on their own;
Most probably couldn't run a chook raffle properly let alone be responsible for managing national policy for the lives of 25 million people.

Foxy

if you really believe the rot you write, you would be protesting outside the Chinese and Indian Emabassy's. Instead you will make it up as you go along and use people's misery to push the idiotic gw religion.

Dear Josephus,

You wrote; “Lashing out in anger by the Mayor is merely venting her feelings”.

My god, just listen to yourself. It wasn't the mayor lashing out in anger and venting but instead it was that idiot McCormack. I thought the mayor's response was measured and reasonable.

How you can read the exact opposite when the evidence is right in front of you is really worrying. Try to get a better grip on reality mate because from where I am sitting it looks pretty tenuous.

Steele,

"I thought the mayor's response was measured and reasonable."

Obviously you don't know the Mayor.
She lives in Wytalibah, nestled among the tins of petrol, sorry, gumtrees.
The residents of that town and other tree-hugger villages have been warned repeatedly of what would happen in a bushfire and now they are reaping the benefits of their wisdom and their rejection of sound advice.

A home among the gumtrees ain't like this.

Hi Steele,

Is it true that in national parks, over the last decade or two, there have been reductions in back-burning, cool-burning, clearing of dead trees, weed-reduction, etc. as working staff have been laid off and office staff come more and more to dictate policy - away from conservation and towards recreation and tourism ?

Cheers,

Joe
