CM,
So now it's not Muslims, we have to fear - it's communists? What about all the other minorities - I'm sure we can dig up many more. There's women, gay people, the Greens, socialists, white supremacists, the elderly, the young, uni-students, academics, the ABC, disabled, feminists, monarchists, and many, many, more. As ALTRAV stated in his posts on the article discussion of "What's wrong with our boys," - "Australia - having excrement for people." Way to go - right? I think that it's possible to be "against bigotry" but still evil. As is China's encapsulation of Tibet. Those that "do good" for bad reasons. You could argue that China is just encouraging diversity in Tibet in the same way that multiculturalism and diversity policy operates in the west- in both cases evil is being done in the name of the good.
My objection to SteeleRedux is not on the basis of the definition of the word bigot or racist- it is on the basis of the demonizing effect to discredit the speaker. This narrative has had the effect of demonizing Australian peoples rightful self interest- this is evil. http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/bigoted Synonyms & Antonyms for bigoted Synonyms illiberal, intolerant, narrow, narrow-minded, prejudiced, small-minded Antonyms broad-minded, liberal, open-minded, tolerant, unprejudiced Posted by Canem Malum, Friday, 11 January 2019 1:32:22 PM

It's interesting the dictionary gives "Liberal" as an opposite of bigoted.
It's almost as if Liberals can't be bigoted "by definition". The trickeries of language... Posted by Canem Malum, Friday, 11 January 2019 1:35:57 PM

Dear Canem Malum,
You write; “My objection to SteeleRedux is not on the basis of the definition of the word bigot or racist- it is on the basis of the demonizing effect to discredit the speaker.” Oh boy. Okay. I didn't just flippantly call AC a racist but rather laid out my reason quite clearly. I note that it was not something you have challenged at all. He discredited himself by using the term not me. I just called him out on it. I then took the time to answer each of his questions in turn. This is exactly the opposite of the majority of right whingers on this site who prefer to snipe offering zero substance. Now I asked you quite a simple question for which you have yet to furnish an answer. I repeat it. So by your definition is AC bigoted or not? Posted by SteeleRedux, Friday, 11 January 2019 2:37:05 PM

I think rather than talking through the chair you are talking through your bloody hat.
You claimed;
“You are bigoted because you prejudged someone as evil and used a demonizing term (racist) without understanding their reasons for their beliefs.”
Pray tell, what reason would AC have for using the term “African breeders” not once but twice in the same post?
If a person is determined to both 'demonise' and dehumanise those from Africa who choose a safer, better, more secure life in Australia then why don't you regard him as a racist?
Indeed the only possible defence you could secure for AC would be an instance where he referred to white South African immigrants as 'breeders' as well.
I wager you will find this an impossible task.
So by your definition is AC bigoted or not?
