"The New South Wales Greens are on the verge of “an irrevocable split”, with two MPs threatening to quit the party unless it holds a recount of its preselection ballot and formally bans a section of the party’s hard-left faction.

In the latest escalation of the chaos engulfing the party in NSW, the upper house MPs Cate Faehrmann and Justin Field wrote to Greens members on Wednesday hinting they would leave the party unless it agreed to hold a recount of its upper house preselection ballot.

It follows another MP Dawn Walker’s request for a recount in the wake of the decision to ask Jeremy Buckingham to vacate his spot on the party’s ticket on Saturday.

Faehrmann and Field – both allied to Buckingham and part of the party’s so-called right faction – also demanded the party ban a subgroup of its hard-left faction, Left Renewal, and expel its members from the party by next Monday."

We often hear that the Greens are on the way out but, like other cockroach varieties, they will always be around.

But I am biased, when the greens stood with conservatives to block the Malaysian solution,
After blocking Labor environment acts, they proved they are, well lost
NSW has a leninist/marxist, Very left Socialist party inside feeding on it killing it

Well, yeah... seems entirely plausible to me. Political parties have been known to schism in the past, and I see no reason why left-wing parties would be immune from the tendency to schism.

Isn't it amazing, the party of supercilious finger waggers now has all its female harassers, kiddie fiddlers and back biters on display.

I like Paul, liked the party his once was
Even some/few of their policy's
But the raw honest truth is they, driven by NSW branch are lost
They dream dreams most voters consider nightmares
They feed on fantasy that they can be something other than a product of a Senate that needs a bulldozer to end its silliness
BUT Shadow Minister *what if I used words like that against the LNP*
Can we express our contempt/dislike without the insults
IF it is ok to use words like that is it if used about our own party/biases?
