CM sorry my mistake
Thought you had a bright mind open to other views
Will not make that mistake again
Maybe you should consider living in the present?
The world as you see it is long dead
Any thought true Liberalism is in any way related to long dead communism is any form is laughable but sad too
Rest assured while you wallow in the past Socialism like its enemy communism is dead

Belly, I have followed OLO for some time, as you may already be aware.
I must correct you on one comment or observation you make, in error.
CM, as is demonstrated by his past comments, is not one I would question, let alone try to put words in his mouth.
His linguistic skills and dare I say, more than likely, his education, seems to far exceed mine, and just possibly, if I may be so bold, yours as well.
I may find it a little daunting to read him sometimes, but that is my fault through my lacking in the English language, and in no way CM's fault.
I don't have any time for politics as it is a collective of thieves, cheats, liars, charlatans and deceitful con-men.
I have reduced my understanding of them into over-simplistic terms and titles, for me to better understand them and their antics.
So it goes that labour is a regressive party.
Where-as the Libs are the progressive ones.
It is so because libs want to make money,so they create and install the means to do so by setting up companies.
The left/labour/unions, on the other hand, once someone else has put up the money and committed themselves to great risk, come along and start threatening and blackmailing the company for more money and benefits, or part of the profits.
As I have said many times, if labour/unions want to dictate terms and conditions they are more than welcome, as long as they put up the security and cover the risk of establishing and maintaining a 'profitable' business, and not come in after the fact and make stupid, unreasonable and unrealistic demands, as if THEY own the company.
Over time I have felt that the line between the majors has become blurred, to the extent that there appears to be a cross-pollination of
policies and offerings.
No stuff them all, I look forward to a hung parliament these days.
I am promoting the likes of Hanson, Palmer and all the independents, as they have seen the light.
But absolutely, NOT the Greens!

ALTRAV found your post interesting, and have noted big big improvements in your style
You are in all probability right about CM standard of education
You will have noted I have said our differing views are a right
I have, a few times, told CM I think he is quite bright
Before my spell I too had been here a very long time
I differ with your view, and in this case CM
Could rattle off a dozen wrong suppositions about the very right
But I lived in the uprising in Hungry Poland, a country set from by union action
Unashamedly union for life
I believe I know the past is gone, no more communism, no Socialism
And hold great respect for Liberalism and Progressives
Both are little different than the party Sir Robert Menzies founded
Unlike today,s lost Liberal Party

Answer- I agree with the hung parliament as both the majors support high immigration (and different forms of "Locke Liberalism"- people shouldn't be responsible). At least there are many within the Liberal party that are responsibly Conservative (about 40%). But yes only independents are willing to go against the egghead "Liberalist High Immigration" orthodoxy- which is bewildering the community. The "last best hope" for Australia seems to be filling the upper houses with anti-immigration independents.

Hopefully the Traditionalist Independents have time to reverse some of the trends that "Anti-Traditionalist" elements have initiated.

CM, again you make an unsubstantiated claim // But yes only independents are willing to go against the egghead "Liberalist High Immigration" orthodoxy- which is bewildering the community. The "last best hope" for Australia seems to be filling the upper houses with anti-immigration independents.// The likes of the air head Hanson, and the disgraced self centred egotist Palmer.
Because you are an arch conservative, pro Fortress Australia and anti-immigration you claim the community is bewildered over the issue. Do you have evidence of this bewilderment? I expect a very strong swing to Labor at the next election, who incidentally have a very clear pro immigration policy.
