Dutton is right and Labour is lying. Google PIH and you get this. The Pacific International Hospital (PIH) at Port Moresby is the epitome of excellence in multi-specialty Healthcare in PNG, offering round-the clock Critical Care and Emergency & Ambulance services. A world class infrastructure, supported by cutting edge technology and a dedicated team of healthcare professionals is our hallmark. The so called refugees have this on their doorstep, why bring them to Australia when they have access to this where they are. Shorten

I googled it and seems good, and Australia has to pay all the costs for treating them, so why come to Australia.

Belly,

Nothing I said was incorrect. True Krudd had to deal with the GFC, but the test of a man is how you work in a crisis, and Krudd failed miserably. Even when in 2010 the coal and steel revenues were double that that Howard enjoyed he ran a huge deficit on disastrous vanity projects.

As for the boats, the amendments that Bill Shortarse is trying to introduce will enable activist doctors to repatriate every off shore detainee in a few weeks after a few Skype consultations.

I remember having a similar conversation on OLO just after Krudd had dismantled the Pacific solution and the boats had started with a couple of hundred illegals and being mocked by the left whingers when I said that it could accelerate to thousands or tens of thousands.

Belly, if you want Labor to stay in power more than one term you better pray that they don't cock it up again. The voters won't swallow all the weasel words from Krudd and Juliar again after Abbott stopped the boats in a couple of months.

P.S. when someone deliberately states a falsehood, then I call it out as a lie.

Shadow, instead of criticising Rudd, you should be thankful that it was his Labor government that took the decisive action to protect millions of Australians from the effects of the GFC. The then opposition which included Abbott, Turnbull and Morrison wanted to take a "do nothing" approach.

As for my claims that a returned Morrison government would take the sward to such things as Medicare, pensions, workers pay and conditions, education, health etc etc, you only have to look at their history to see its a real possibility. What has restrained this mob of cut throats has been a responsible Senate, which has voted down many of the hurtful proposals put up by the Government.

Take one look at Morrison's record!

-Voted 26 times to block the Banking Royal Commission.
-Voted 7 times to cut $14 billion from public schools.
-Voted 7 times to cut the Aged pension, age lifted to 70.
-Cut $715 million from public hospitals.
-Wanted to give Big Business $50 billion in tax cuts.
-Wanted a user pay system introduced for Medicare.
-Supported pays cuts for the low paid in retail and hospitality.
-Forced up power prices with a non existent energy policy.
-Wasted billion on toys for the boys, submarines for the Navy.

Between Abbott, Turnbull and Morrison, and who knows who will be running the circus next week, they have made a complete cock up!

Shadow Minister you and I share an opinion
Each knows the other is wrong
We both shake our heads at the shear inability of the other to consider views other than ours
We have every right to our differing views,IF A DAY comes when we are no longer free to hold and express our views this country will be in deep trouble
To hoist the name Dutton, as one contributor has, and claim truth is stretching it
Face it SM even on your side, people who would never ever consider voting Labor push for an end to offshore detention
It will not happen, do not target Labor or Liberal it is the voters who drive this detention
Find, while we wait for the world to catch up, [and it surely will] of stopping refugees, find a middle path
The Malaysian solution was the best out come in a no win situation.

Paul,

I am not sure whether you are:

A) delusional
B) simple and unable to spout off anything other than labor green talking points
C) a deliberate liar.

When the GFC hit, there is nothing from the liberals indicating that they ever suggested doing nothing. That labor's policy was to wantonly spend on stupid plans like a drunk with someone else's credit card does not mean that the libs would have spent nothing.

It would have been perfectly possible to spend 1/2 of the amount well and got the same boost to the economy. Instead we threw away $9bn on a cash hand out with nearly zero effect, cookie cutter school halls that most schools didn't need, a pink batts policy that killed young people and burnt down houses, and record debt.

The same goes for the rest bollocks you put up.

Coming from the greens that have a problem with its MPs and members harassing women and one suspected kiddie fiddler, you can hardly talk.
