Ten years ago Shadow Minister was prepared to take a far more pragmatic approach.

To have him now such an attack dog for Israel really does make you wonder about his journey. It would seem to have mirrored that of the Coalition where even our foreign minister gets to call those of us who believe in the BDS movement as anti-Semitic and where Australia sides with the US in the UN to block resolutions seeking to halt the shooting of unarmed people on the Gaza border.

In some ways the propaganda efforts by Israel are indeed impressive. To have turned a sizable section of one of Australia's major political parties against the Palestinians is no mean feat. I suppose Shadow Minister has just dutifully fallen into line.
