Jodelie, I doubt castration would be enough to stop any paedophile reoffending, as I think it is more of a mental defect than physical.
Sending them to jail for life is safest.

Blaming celibacy is no use either, given that married ministers of other religions and organisations have been caught for paedophilia, not to mention all the poxy paedophiles living supposedly normal lives out in the community.

Is Mise, am I missing something here?
When and where do Catholic priests get married?
I always thought they weren't allowed to marry?

Suseonline,
I'd like to see them put in the care of the parents of an abused child. These vermin once in jail, then gang up with other vermin & lierally run the show from jail.

Imagine If You Found a Sex-Ed Poster Asking This
Provocative Question at Your Daughter’s Middle School
http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2014/01/15/imagine-if-you-found-a-sex-ed-poster-asking-this-provocative-question-at-your-daughters-middle-school/

A poster asking some Kansas middle school students a sexually provocative question has at least one parent up in arms.

“How do people express their sexual feelings,” the poster asks, before listing “touching each other’s genitals,” “anal sex” and “vaginal intercourse,” among other things.

After seeing the material posted at Hocker Grove Middle School in Shawnee, Kan., Mark Ellis thought it was likely posted by pranksters, WDAF-TV reported. He couldn’t believe school officials would actually expose his 13-year-old daughter to such a question.

Suse,

Priests cannot marry within the Church but married men may become priests, this is common in the Eastern Rites of Catholicism but not in the Roman Rite.

Recently a number of former priests of the Anglican Communion have become Roman Rite priests and those that were married remained married.

My one time Commanding Officer Lt. Col. V E Dowdy became the first married Roman Rite man to be ordained a priest in Australia.

He later officiated at his daughters wedding and, in the fullness of time, baptized his own grandchild.

Is Mise Clearly my knowledge is limited but I am keen to ask questions and make suggestions and become more informed and have a better understanding of many subjects. So of course welcome correction and constructive criticism when called for.
The police are not employed to protect the public? I know many abuse their position but still. And i did believe the main purpose of castration was to stop the ability to reproduce, reduce testosterone and largely decrease libido. Thinking this my put a stop to the start of the sexual abuse problem among those being ordained to priesthood.

Jodelie, are you suggesting they castrate all Catholic priests just in case they might abuse children, or after they have been convicted?

Why just the priests, why not all paedophiles?
It has already been well established that celibacy does not 'cause' paedophilia, so why concentrate on Catholic priests and other clergy?
