You make some monumental assumptions: "The police are entrusted to keep our towns and families safe..... . Sounds brutal, but compulsory castration...." There are two assumptions that are wrong, it is not the job of the police to protect society although many of them do and it is also erroneous to think that castration necessarily stops penile penetration, it doesn't. As I posted elsewhere Catholic priests except those in Religious Orders that require a vow of celibacy, do not take such a vow also there are married priests in the Catholic Church.
Would you deny priest's wives their conjugal rights?
