Dear Arjay,

It isn't a question of what I believe but what the
jury found to be the case by the evidence presented
and as reported accurately by The New York Times
and other major newspapers.
Here are two more links that may clarify things for you:

http://www.theguardian.com/uk/2008/apr/07/diana.monarchy

And -

Of course your preference may be to believe in conspiracy
theories - and to consider any of the reporting of the jury
findings as "trash." But to most of us - (including Prince
William and Harry) the jury findings stand.

All over NSW highways have guard rails at danger points, just in case someone runs off the road, had the relevant French authorities fitted them so that a car could not hit a pillar then the consequences would have been a Merc needing a bit of panel beating and a partial re-spray; instead millions of sheets of good paper have been wasted.

Self praise is no recommendation.
And in talking about my workplace memory's I inflict pain on my self, as I too often saw death on our roads and too good men breakdown after seeing too much.
As I have said over 70 deaths and history of the *highway of death* the then as it once was Pacific Highway.
Every event never should have taken place, every one saw the blame transferred to the road.
But sleep deprivation drugs and grog all contributed speed was over represented and yes pure happiness killed too.
Folk bound for their holiday fun lost concentration of raced to get here ASAP.
Any of these deaths would be spoken of still if Di had been in one of those,
Conspiracy theory's need fame to grow ordinary folk do not see their deaths used this way
