doog surely aren't suggesting that high levels of Indonesian army & government aren't involved in facilitating the illegal boat people trade. Just how naive are you?

Nothing happens in Indonesia that the police, & army don't know about. Nothing!

Why the hell do you think they now want "consultation"? They are worried that Ruddy's plan might work. If it does it would leave thousands of boat people in the pipeline in Indonesia.

The last thing they want is thousands of these troublesome folk on their soil, hence they want early warning, so they can shut the pipeline down. They can shut it down at a minutes notice, if they choose. They will if we pay more than they get from the smuggling, or if we get tough.

Don't start that Rudd hoax about conflict with Indonesia either. Their army is set up to keep the peasants in their place, definitely not fight real men, with real guns. Fight Ozzies, you've got to be kidding, that's dangerous.

Remember how they terrorized East Timor, but took a decade to catch a few rebels? Remember how quickly they ran away when a few hundred of our blokes turned up.

Do try to look at the real world some times.

.....They emerge from the jungles when there is a boat available.

So doog, how come so many get intercepted so close to the port of Java.

Even if just these boats alone were stopped it would have a fair impact.

No doubt the smugglers have got help but it would be limited, or else the smugglers would find another way.
All of the so called refugees come through Malaysia. Java is the closest point to AU. It's a bit simplex to say they come out of the port of Java, Java has a very long coast line. They use small boats to load the big boats.
Malaysia is where they should have been taken back to, but Abbott could see the value of not allowing a vote.
It seems as though corruption is hanging over the head of Turnbull so you are stuck with Abbott.

About the time books and reading be came available to the common man, we heard wise sayings begin to tell us truths.
You can not have it both ways, surely both true and wise.
Some, constantly insulting the ALP government for starting a refugee flow.
Now get stuck in to them for trying to stop it.
A truth is shining here like a full moon on a summers night.
Tony Abbott is trying, his supporters too, to have it both ways.
A further truth, many want to denie, Abbott is starting to look very silly .
Little doubt exists he is hell bent on costing himself the election.
In this I have little doubt he is achieving that, by not stopping his negativity.
Will some Liberal point him to the PM,s office, let him see Gillard is gone!
He looks in every door stop to be the owner and sole salesman for a very shonky used car business.

Java is not a port - it's an island.
