Philip S,

I don't need to provide a counter argument.

The facts speak for themselves.

Watch Dateline.

If you believe that the detention camp run by Australia in the form of Manus is first class, that tells me a lot about your standards.

Re Manus

They were reporting on the radio this morning that most of the Manus detainees had since been transferred to the mainland --so much for investigating and charging the guilty, ay!

What a joke our immigration controls are!

SPQR,

I think the object there is to sweep the whole damn lot under the carpet - both the crimes and the fact that they were ignored - and the fact that Manus was ill-run.

SPQR, "What a joke our immigration controls are!"

What a joke the government is!

That could easily lose Rudd plenty of seats.

Rudd doesn't have the conviction and resoluteness to deal with the Fifth Column he has in Labor ranks on this issue. It is easy to imagine Rudd caving in if elected as well. If he was in a partnership with the treacherous Greens he would be more wobbly than Julia Whatshername, that redhead the aboriginals chased from a restaurant.

I see Rudd as an extremely shallow character. His attempts to come across as serious are seriously flawed. He is an extreme egoist, with an extreme degree of incompetence.
I'm sure somewhere in that ALP crowd there are a few genuine lollies but for them to be heard/seen requires the Dudd to be out of the picture.
