Thanks INDIVIDUAL for both giveing me a reason not to post in this thread again.
But for allowing me to answer you with total honesty.
Insanity, or a symptom of it, may well be reason for your unthinking CONSTANT rudeness and silly statements, I have long held that view.
Now it is not my words you insult, you being you, rant about the PROMISE MADE BY YOUR SIDE, to stop the boats almost instantly.
Now indy, IF YOU ARE ABLE consider the implications, IF every one you target here, returns serve as I have here, in your rude uninformed style.
OLO would become a children's sand pit, you defeat your own words by proving you lack the ability to talk without reverting to a drunken like abuse.

Hi Opinion,

Just a comment on this:
<<I'm assuming that migrants convicted of criminal offences are being deported. Or is that too much to expect?>>
If you assumed that you would be wrong.

I recall watching an A Current Affair report about one incident where during a riot a detainee threw hot water over a guard seriously –and permanently --injuring him.

The judge actually commented that he went lightly on the offender because he didn’t want to jeopardize the offenders asylum claim!

SPQR - Quote "The judge actually commented that he went lightly on the offender because he didn’t want to jeopardize the offenders asylum claim!"

Cynical answer - If judges give light sentences the criminal is out quicker and can commit more crimes thus keeping him and the police in steady employment.

Less crime = less judges and police.

No way, Governor Phil let the whole lot stay. much to the angst of the locals.
"The judge actually commented that he went lightly on the offender, giving him transportation for life to the colony of New South Wales because he didn’t want to hang the poor chap for such a trivial offense"
What has changed? Nothing.

"Eighty asylum seekers will be questioned by police hunting a man over an alleged sexual assault", "The man was described as being aged 20-25, with a thin build, dark skin and dark short curly hair."

Ah yes, so on a completely open campus it can only be the asylum seekers who are to blame.

How about this sonofgloin, grow up, get a life, and stop falling for the mass-marketing tricks of the news.

Oh and as far as TB goes, get used to it. It's out there and unless you close the borders to everyone - asylum seeker or not - it will find its way in. Just pray that with the emergence of multiple drug resistant TB the government puts funding into finding an effective treatment.

When will the mania stop?

Not anytime soon, judging from the majority of comments on this thread.
