579 I may have some info, both leaders, and they know it, are likely to be challenged very soon.
In time we will see this threads subject Malaysian solution put in place and supported by both sides.
Afraid too as an anti Australian culture grows within a section within a section of our migrant population.
It will bring very real requests we review our migration policy's.

The so called Malaysian solution is from the mathematical madhouse.
We send 800 and get back 4000 !
That fits the typical government knowledge of arithmetic and finance.
Got a debt problem ? Borrow more money !
Got a migration problem, get more migrants !

Has this government gone stark raving mad ?

OK, OK here is my solution;
1: Tell Indonesia, we have taken all that we can, no more.
2: Pull our vessels back to Christmas Island and Darwin.
3: Any that arrive, tell them we are full, go away !
4: Tell them, if they sink their boat or land they will be put on a
plane to wherever we think they come from.
5: If their country refuses them entry, leave them in transit lounge.

Frankly, I have had enough !

Bazz gday, change, any change must be acheivable.
I like you4r self want t5he boats stopped forever.
I just do not think they are other than transport for 3economic refugees.
But you ask for impossibles.
If you as I promise I will, for this discussion leave your biases in the bucket by the door we can look at this.
It is my honestly held view Abbott will use the Malaysian solution in office.
And that temporary protection visas will no longer work.
You are aware I do not hide Labors blame for the current problem.
However, truth not fallacy, Abbott,s plan to turn the boats around is going to break our relation ship with Indonesia.
These folk are not from that country, and in fact are far more a problem to them than us.
Malaysia too is not the home of these refugees, they travel in to that country thousands more than we see here.
A REGIONAL SOLUTION, is wanted by all, but stopped by Abbott.
All Asia Pacific country,s benefit by such a solution, less refugees.
Malaysia, offers these benefits Returning 800. taking 4.000 is not what you see it as.
Those 800 may be the first of 8.000 and we are taking our promise 2.000 now every year getting nothing in return
Continued.

The plan is based on this.
Having traveled from Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, Ceylon, to Malaysia then Indonesia, got on a boat and ended up back in Malaya.
Refugees, seeing 4.000 leave that country to come here may stop in fact surely will.
Bazz or any one find me an answer for Abbott,s plan unless it is political gain.
He is willing and on the record to send these non Indonesians back to that country.
Demands today they be sent straight to new Guinea.
What is so different about Malaysia? INDONESIA TOO IS NO A SIGNATORY to the UNHCR when will the man put AUSTRALIA in front of his personal ambition
My points
cash rewards of ten thousand dollars for giving up people smugglers double after conviction, watch police over seas snap that up.

I would ask posters who simply compare the numbers, 4.000 in exchange for 800 to truly look.
Indonesia and Malaysia are not the homes of almost any of these refugees.
So what is in it for them?
Like us, they hope a regional plan will steam the flow of refugees.
And in the case of Malaysia? refugees some of who have been there under far worse conditions than the proposed ones to be transfered from here, will be able to come here.
I would be pleased, and surprised if a well constructed, based on evidence not first thoughts rebuttal of my three posts can be put forward.
Remember, both sides of the house, not one, have dirt on their hands here.
History not far ahead will leave Many of us wondering how we got conned by some who take on tomorrow the very policy's, many of them, they fight against today.
With drawing my pledge of neutrality for this.
It has become, after much research, my opinion Tony Abbott is mentally unfit to lead his party, while my leader is too unfit, it is Abbott focus on power that just frightens me, his habit of telling lies, far more than Gillard ever did, in my view is terrifying!

Just want to go on record before it takes place.
The current part of the solution, will not work.
The determination to put last time solution this time failures to work, temporary protection visas will not work.
So?
Abbott in office will need to and use the Malaysian solution, as he will keep the carbon tax and? just maybe the mining tax.
Tony is a master at the use of terminological inexactitudes.
