You're referring to the GST of course!
Lexi,
The GST pulled Australia out of the $hit, the Carbon Tax is getting us back into it again.

<<The GST pulled Australia out of the $hit>>

Is that so?

The GST added so much compliance costs and complexity that people simply avoid carrying a business or grow theirs above $75000 p.a.

Is that so?
Yuyutsu,
Yes, just ask anyone who has an ounce of brain.

Dear Individual,

Speak to any small business owners about the GST
and get their reactions. Not only did they have to
spend more time on paperwork, which took away from
their business time but the 10% cost increases
made a lot of clients more wary on the amount they
spent - which meant less income to the small
business.

Everybody loses except the government.

Hi Lexi and Individual,

Do you think that, since the Good News, the government hasn't pulled together a scoping group to set up a Working Party to plan a sub-committee to institute an exploratory panel to set up a sub-department, perhaps in Science and Technology, maybe in association with the CSIRO, to monitor the activities of Higgs bosons -

- and perhaps another scoping group + Working Party + sub-committee etc. and bipartisan (i.e. Greens + Labour) Parliamentary Committee to explore the possibilities of taxing the Higgs boson - nothing huge maybe only 1.35 % on all annual molecular activity, adding maybe only $ 19.95 to the average family annual budget each week, but providing employment for another 883 public servants ? Most of whom would vote Green ? Out of sheer gratitude ?

Except for the additional staff in ASIO, monitoring the potentially illegal activities of the particle and ensuring it is kept out of the hands of terrorists ?

And that somehow, the government will stuff all of that up as well ?
