People who question the American government's penchant for spin, don't hate America - they hate spin.

I had a heated discussion yesterday with a friend of mine.
I was simply questioning how much of this latest stage-managed hoopla was truth - and how much was embroidery.
He was of the opinion that we should swallow everything we are told by the "righteous" U.S. government. I reminded him that the last time he and I were having regular heated discussions was in the lead up to the Iraqi invasion, when Bush, Rumsfeld and Cheney were assuring us that Saddam had WMD's

- and he swallowed that without chewing as well.

You see, that's the sort of warped notion that you need to re-examine. Not only because it is in itself nonsense, but also because it doesn't help you understand anything at all about the real world. That is a classic example of what I mean. You assert something as a fact, without any evidence or explanation of how you made the calculation, then you suggest the figure is higher because "they have enough power to silence the detractors"

What you presumably insinuate here - even though, again, you have no evidence - is that they are dominating world affairs simply because they have money.

Only - only - if you accept that they are involved in a conspiracy, does any of the rest have any meaning or relevance at all. Without that assumption, you are just looking at a rich family.

Then surly humanity is meant to be one.
Say that in some parts of the Muslim world and you die.
Say it in India, some would kill you.
Some of us, who once claimed/or still do claim Christ is Lord, have/would/do die for him.
If we have ten Gods why?

The creator surely can see humanity is divided around him/her.
Is His/Her purpose to unite or divide us.
