Wasn't in the Lie-berals who actually created the terms "core" and "non-core" promises to explain away their own shortcomings in their first term?

Wasn't it Abbott who said not to necessarily believe everything he says unless it's in writing?

The election's over and a new government has been sworn in.

Why not wait until something actually happens before passing judgement or is the idea to be totally obstructionist and keep dragging us back to the polls until somebody gets the result they want?

Rebutting Shadow Minister is a waste of time.
Threads like taming of the shrew, so long suckers and many ,many more, prove No reason, no balance,no will to keep within touch of reality.
MINORITY GOVERNMENT, that term would have been used to describe a conservative one too.,
So lets stop using it as an insult.
We apparently only want, so we are told, to confront our opponents.
Why then? tell please, are the confrontational threads started by them?
Way for wards is confrontation?
No complaints let the threads run free but let both sides speak as they see fit.
SM is lost in a land of lost dreams and near misses the election is over let the war Begin.

Runner>>anyone who voted for someone who stabbed her leader in the back along with numerous other character flaws gets what they deserve.

Problem is, more voted against her than for her.

Well, I see it as a 'win win' for us the people, as labor will either do a great job, or, they will be voted out so badly next time that I doubt we will see another labor government for decades to come.

And remember, if they do stuff up, they will not have the independents to turn to as they to will be hung by the necks come next election if they and labor fail.

Either labor gets it right, of they will be bannished for years.

So far things are not looking to good for julia. Back flip on the mining tax and a backflip on promises.

Rehctub,
you were spot on with your post right up till that last line where you fall into the trap of not being able to help yourself but show your bias. In other word no matter what happens you will find a way to denigrate whatever the government does.
I hope they do brilliantly as the whole country needs it and it would be good for the ongoing role of independents and minor parties in our democracy. There is more to gain than loose but if they make a meal of it i will happily hammer them come the next election. Just try and be objective.

Who do we congratulate on the ability of Mr Norris of the Commonwealth bank on achieving his increase to $16 million salary, besides the board of CBA, the Labor party and their de facto partners, the Liberal/National parties? This seems such a wonderful achievement considering the condition of the economy and the fact that so many workers are struggling to make ends meet and many have been delegated to the status of paupers. This partnership does seem to work well on many things, doesn't it, it's a pity that it isn't used to regain the prosperous economy we used to have, isn't it, but that's what modern politics is, isn't it? Suckers

We are the same suckers who voted in Howard's core and non-core promises.

SM you are doing more harm to your party than good.
