Yes indeed, corporations lobby Congress, as they lobby our Govt.
Are you suggesting that members of Congress are so stupid, that
they cannot resist lobbying?

In a democracy, various self interest groups do in fact lobby Govts.
That is how the system works, all around the world.

Yes Obama kept Gates on at his job. Why not? you need somebody who
knows how to run the military, to run the military. He's clearly
far better at it then Rumsfeld ever was. But at the end of the day,
he still runs the military to follow the President's orders.

Obama has started no wars and I see no inclination of his part to do
so. In fact he's made it clear that he does not think the US should
take on the role of a global policeman.

Yes, he's agreed to keep sending US drones into Pakistani border
areas, good on him. Frankly its the best way to deal with
Al Queda and Taliban leadership, in an area where even the Pakistani
army fear to tread and have little influence.

Hopefully one of these days, they will take out Zawahiri and Co.

If you can't see the difference between an Obama and a Bush running
the US Govt, then frankly nobody can help you. But hey, it keeps
you occupied, with something to do in your spare time. Runner goes
to church, you follow your conspiracy theories, both fanatics.

Any kind of reason is frankly pointless.
