UOG,it was a leading assumption.Forrest Gump cannot see the wood for the trees.

UOG ,what we have to do is work from known realities.Forget about doomsday prophecies, they are in the realm of fantacy.Obama even in his initial stages of power is looking like a George Bush clone.

What must happen first is the auditing of the US Fed Res.From this point the unequivical facts can permeate all of the media. You only have to view some of the illogical contributions to this blog to realise how bereft of thought/logic most of our population have become.

Only the small secrets need to be hidden, the really big ones are repressed by our incredulity.

Support Ron Paul in the auditing of the US Federal Reserve!

The world is inevitably heading toward a global police state or a collection of police states.

There are about 6 billion of us alive today. At the current rate of population growth, there will be 100 billion at the end of the century - all fighting over the crumbs of whatever resources will be left.

The only way to keep order and control in such a situation is by fear and force.

One by one we will continue to hand back small "freedoms" - for our own good of course.

@ Wobbles.

That's why I truly believe there are sinister plans to reduce the population in short time. At the end of the day, the planet cannot support a rising China and India all living like the west does. Now add in Africa and where do all the resources come from, mars perhaps?

While these under developed countries lived a life of poverty and had a small footprint on the world, all was well. The west could pillage and plunder whatever they needed, but now that they are becoming consumers like the west and want their material lives just as us, all the carbon taxes, solar panels and windmills aren't gunna do jack!

Everyone and I mean every single person on this planet needs to take a long hard look at their lives and those of others and realise the party's over!

So what's the solution? Mass melt down of our liberties while the PTB finally arrive at a number they think is sustainable.

Arjay:""industrial military complex" that JFK warned about"

Actually, it was Eisenhower who coined the phrase and in his original version (which was not delivered as written), he used the term "Military-industrial-Congressional complex", which is far more accurate.

Wobbles, you're on to it. The fact is that the US has a lengthy land border with a very impoverished part of the world and an even longer sea coast. They also have a massive underclass of their own, which has evolved to serve the desires of the middle class as they try to pretend to be wealthy. Many of the members of that underclass come from those impoverished states to the south.

If the people in charge in the US are not cognisant of the threat posed to their way of life if that underclass should become sufficiently desperate then they're not the paranoiacs they used to be, which seems unlikely.

Our comfy world is going to become a much less pleasant place over the next few decades.

one under god,

You ask whether I am here to comment or to censor.

I am commenting upon an anomaly, that anomaly being that you have apparently been able to make a post to this forum that exceeds the word limit that we (we being all other registered OLO users) are to understand applies to all posters. I described in detail what I did in order to replicate what your first post in this thread achieved so that other posters could check for themselves whether they, too, could make as long a post.

Far from attempting to censor you, I actually attempted to republish all 30 of the links you provided in that post, in the order you posted them. The OLO site would not let me do so when those 30 links were accompanied by the 334 words of my first post in this thread that preceded the notation 'PS' at the commencement of its second-last line. Your first post contained 334 words of black text, just different words to mine, that accompanied your 30 links. You were able to post. I wasn't. I simply wonder how and why.

Because I value the opportunity the Forum provides for all to express an opinion, and perhaps present arguments in support of those opinions, I am alert to what might prove to be vulnerabilities in the software of the site to hacking, such that third parties may disrupt discussions. On the face of it, it appeared as if this anomaly could be a manifestation of one such vulnerability.

One way of disrupting discussions, or the Forum in general, is for individual posters to post excessively and/or incoherently. Another is for different persons to post under the one userID, such that other posters become uncertain as to which 'persona' behind a userID it is to whom they may be responding. The Forum rules as to word limits and posts per day exist to minimise such possible disruption or monopolization of discussion.

Your views as to posting limits can be seen here: http://forum.onlineopinion.com.au/thread.asp?discussion=2637#60577 and in the following post.
