Whether of course there's any more substance to it than his earlier efforts is I'd suggest highly unlikely.

It seems Bronwyn has misread my previous post.

The comment "In my view its 'shock jockery' when a poster opens a topic with a set of assertions, but then has nothing of substance to say." applied to KMB as the opening poster of the topic 'Obama seeks to manipulate electoral boundaries' on Wednesday, 18 February 2009 at 2:00:21 PM. The very topic title itself was an assertion.

The comment in no way applied, nor was it meant to apply, to Arjay in this thread. Arjay's opening post was largely a recounting of attributed statements, together with a link. Arjay's topic title is 'ALARMING TRENDS in the US', and in no way constitutes a dogmatic unsubstantiated assertion. Its only fault is a little 'shouting' in the title.

Arjay's concluding comment in that opening post was:

"We are witnessing the beginnings of facism in the US and the popular media is ignoring it's birth! History does repeat itself and the US is beginning to look like Nazi Germany pre-WW2."

Only someone who was unfamiliar with what constitutes fascism, or perhaps unrecognised to themselves was exhibiting fascist tendencies, could find Arjay's statement unsupported in that post or indeed by common knowledge, or classify it as 'shock jockery'. And Arjay has continued to engage in this thread, in contrast to KMB in the 'Obama seeks to manipulate electoral boundaries' thread. The fact that I might not be in agreement with him in some respects does not make him a 'shock jock' here.

Sorry if I was asking you to surf too far for the subject of my 'shock jockery' claim. You may have missed out on the opportunity for another ride in the Hotairbus A390 on the way. And, come to think of it, KMB only posted once in addition to the opening post on that rather long thread, and then only on abortion, which, as GrahamY pointed out to us all, wasn't really the subject, or 'hook', of the topic at all.

Any 'shock jockery' was perhaps in the third post.

How gallant of you. I was having trouble with loading post (happens a lot lately) got those square box error messages 'reported to staff' blah blah. Returned to find both original draft and revision (with link) on thread, and later to find that the post I wanted on thread had been deleted.

And now you have provided my link, which no doubt, KMB and Arjay will completely ignore - else their entire belief system would crash around them in an apocalyptic blast of reality. Painful for some.

Today has started particularly well, and this 'confession' from Forrest (revealing his inner champion) is another step in what promises to be a most glorious day.

Ron Paul was a failed independent conservative (who claimed to be liberal) Presidential candidate with 4% of the vote.

His policies during the debates were confused contradictory and opportunist.

The FBI have had a record under hoover of privacy breaches bugging Martin Luther King his bedrooms etc. for the dirt, as he saw them as threats to the Country 'Un-American Activities'. The US survived.
