Paul1405,
re perverted justification; it's neither perverted nor is it justification, they're your words. My statement simply referred to the situation as it appears to me. Would you maintain that these retaliatory action would have started if the sickos hadn't done what they did on 7 Oct ?
When will the Palestinian people rally together to stand up against their regime if they disagree with it as so many would have us believe ? All the excuse rhetoric is constantly overshadowed by action. Anyhow, don't forget to reply to the inconvenient questions to you in other threads.

Hi Indy,

This is a bit rich coming from YOU, "reply to the inconvenient questions" How many times have I asked you to name your country of birth. How much welfare have you received from us Australian taxpayers? I assume YOU came from Europe where your relatives had destroyed your homeland, and were most likely on the losing side in WW2.

"Would you maintain that these retaliatory action would have started if the sickos hadn't done what they did on 7 Oct ?" There YOU go again trying to justify one wrong, with another wrong. Its like saying; "I wouldn't have shot him dead if he hadn't stole my apple".

Hi Indy,

I'm not being evasive on the question of the murder of innocent Palestinians and Israelis. October 7th 2023 seen the murder of 1200 innocent Israelis, that was not the beginning of what has been an ongoing war between Arab and Jew. Nor is the atrocity committed on that date justification for the murder of 70,000 innocent Palestinians by the Zionist regime. You seem to think because Hamas did what they did, it justifies the slaughter of Palestinians by the Zionists have carried out.

A question for you. Were the Zionists justified in killing 70,000 Palestinians, and why?

Hi Paul,

I think you've related a feature more of human beings. I can remember as a child being castigated by my grandmother for not having shoes at a shopping mall (I might have been eight and didn't wear shoes much at that age). My GM was well read, atheist, and regularly pointed out the many contradictions in the Bible.

Indy gives a good example of toxic religion, with that woman willing to be a suicide bomber and holding the belief that murdering Jews was her ticket to paradise.

I agree with you that much of religion is silly, but surely the toxicity comes from advocating harm to others and discouraging questions? I must admit to being unaware of the existence of Mormon terrorist organisations.

None of us are born with the same 'mindset'.
And being different means we respond differently to changes taking place around us.
Some are unable to deal with life as it is, and retire in to a fictional world.
Is this because their life is based on lies?
Their approach to life avoids truth?
I think this is so, and leads them in to an imaginary existence instead.
They then behave according to the fictional ideas they have embraced.
And sometimes this means harming others, who are seen as an enemy.
And all because they live without truth.
I feel sorry for them.
They didn't have a chance to be normal.
This doesn't mean they shouldn't be stopped.
Harm is harm, no matter what they see as a reason.
And I see no excuse for being habitually destructive.
I still think failing to face the truth around them is why these deviates behave as they do.
And this is compounded by the lies they are told when young.
Truth in education is the key to better living for all.
And the avoidance of religious indoctrination and radicalisation.
