However, back to the thread.
It makes me think about WHY people need religion.
What is in our instinctive behaviour which makes some require it?
The need to belong to a group perhaps. (safety in numbers)
Superstition.
Fear.
Just what is it?
Religion has been a controlling influence in societies for a long time.
It behaves somewhat like a government.
We need to educate ourselves away from harmful religious ideas.
Understand ourselves in far more depth.
Many already have.
Brave education seems to be the path to logical and calming thought.
But religion seems to have such a grip that changes might be difficult to bring about.
We can but hope, and of course struggle whilst we hope.
