Hi Paul

'Where have you been for the past few years, did you have to do a stint in purgatory for all your sins?' No purgatory for me. Christ hung on the cross for my sin. Yours to.

' Kill unborn babies, cut off teenagers' breasts and genitals all done without anaesthetic, just for the fun of it. ' Not necessarily for the fun of it, just demonically inspired and haters of humanity (except themselves).

'Look around mate it is you religious nutters killing little children and civilians these days.'

What all the school shooting in US by people deceived about their identities. You know blokes in skirts etc. The type invited by librarians to sexualise kids. Highest rates of murderers in US. But as usual don't let facts destroy your lying narrative.

Hi runner,

I believe Christ died on the cross for the crimes of insurrection and rebellion against the Romans. Personally I was happy with Roman rule, after all they did give us aqueducts and sanitation. Can't please everyone.

Hi mikk,

Its Easter, and on the third year he rose from the dead. See, runners back, can't keep a good messiah down, or dead for that matter.

Hi Ipso Fatso

I occasionally attend church services with my wife, who is a regular at an Anglican church. Recently, we decided to explore a different denomination to see how they approach things, and how the other half live so to speak. We attended a Mormon service, my wife's family have close connections with the Mormon church back in New Zealand, and they are only 2 clicks from home. Not my first visit, we attended one time in Sydney with a niece and nephew for a greeting for a visiting American Bishop. He didn't think much of me wearing a Manaia around my neck, he asked what was it for, I said; "To ward off evil sprites", me thinks he wasn't impressed, the niece did tell me to tuck the Manaia into my shirt, I didn't take her advice.

At the recent Mormon service, about 100 share holders in attendance. I came away with a very distinct impression—though no one said it outright—that Heaven operates like a corporation: God as Chairman of the Board, Jesus as CEO. The men, dressed in dark slacks, white shirts, and ties, looked more like middle management heading into the office than parishioners attending worship, the women were the office girls, and tea ladies. The whole experience felt like an extension of American corporate culture.

I stood out in my loud Hawaiian shirt, shorts, and sandals. The reception was noticeably cool, as if my casual appearance signalled that I wasn’t taking things seriously. The overall atmosphere was a bit of a turn-off for us, as my wife is a very social person. A quick exit, and back home.

"I stood out in my loud Hawaiian shirt, shorts, and sandals."

So you go to a place with your body language saying "I have zero respect for your beliefs and customs.", then wonder why their body language says "Why are you here?"?

Perhaps a couple of useful secular takeaways from the Judaeo-Christian religions are the concept of human fallibility and the value of treating others as you would have them treat you.

Hi Fester,

One of the problems with religions is their intolerance of those who are different to themselves, those who question and debate the word of the Lord. Should Jesus himself turn up to a Mormon Temple dressed in a rough well worn woollen tunic, sandals on the feet, about 5' 6" tall, close cropped curly black hair, thick set and of dark complication, with a broad nose, somewhat unwashed by our standards, (the real Jesus, not the European stylised Jesus, many Christians like to portray), would he also be saying; "I have zero respect for your beliefs and customs.", then wonder why their body language says "Why are you here?"....Leaving them to their own devices, waiting for the Messiah to turn up in his three piece business suit.
