The logic is rather simple. If you believe the stories about Gazan famines and you want that to stop, one of the ways to stop it for Hamas to release all hostages and surrender. If you don't support Hamas releasing all hostages and surrendering, then clearly your top priority isn't the welfare of the Gazans.

Somehow that logic eludes AC.

"The logic is rather simple."
- No, it's backwards logic you fool, what do you take me for?

"If you believe the stories about Gazan famines and you want that to stop..."
- then you stand against the governments and people responsible for committing these things.

"We had very good and productive discussions with President Vladimir Putin of Russia yesterday, and there is a very good chance that this horrible, bloody war can finally come to an end — BUT, AT THIS VERY MOMENT, THOUSANDS OF UKRAINIAN TROOPS ARE COMPLETELY SURROUNDED BY THE RUSSIAN MILITARY, AND IN A VERY BAD AND VULNERABLE POSITION. I have strongly requested to President Putin that their lives be spared. This would be a horrible massacre, one not seen since World War II. God bless them all!"

Hi AC,

I have to give it to Trump he is making the right noises with the Russians. For 3 years we were told Ukraine was on top and winning this bloody war. Now the truth is out, Russia is in control of 20% of the country, if it was Australia, that would be almost the area of Queensland! As for the Ukrainian pockets in Russia, they are surrounded and it could be a blood bath if the Russians go all out.

Paul1405,

It is very disappointing when people make statements which are not verified with fact.

There is no starvation in Gaza.

I accessed "Frontiers: analysis of the nutritional status of the Palestinian territory." (2023)

I stated that the women there have an average of four children each, indicating they are are not starving or malnourished. Women don't ovulate under such conditions. You are either ignorant of female biology or chose to ignore this. Not the response of an intelligent person.

Based on the "Frontiers ... " report there is adequate food, but nutrition is not the best due to general ignorance and poor awareness of healthy diets, nutritional knowledge and attitudes.

Also, nutrition is further impacted due to pollution of tobacco smoke and wood fuel stoves.

35.5% of women and 40.3% of men are overweight.

31.5% of women and 17.5% of men are obese.

67.1% of mothers are obese.

University statistics reveal that 31.1% of males and 15.6% of females are overweight; 4% of males and 9.4% of females are obese.

These statistics hardly support claims the the Palestinians are starving. Whilst the pattern of eating and nutrition is not ideal, this is entirely due to poor awareness of healthy diets, nutritional knowledge and attitudes.

WhiteMouse, your rosy picture of "Life in Gaza" from 2023 is not supported by todays reality;

Gaza; "The lower-end scenario — based on the deaths of complete identifying information — was found to be 44.4 years. The decrease in life expectancy was higher for men, with a decrease of 51.6% from 73.6 years pre-war to 35.6 years. For women, the life expectancy decreased by 38.6% from 77.4 years to 47.5 years.29 Jan 2025."

No one seriously believes there is not a humanitarian crises in Gaza, brought on by the Israeli's war crime which denies food, fresh water, medical supplies and electricity to the civilian population.

Paul,

I would have thought the life expectancy was even lower.

You willfully ignore that fact of Hamas and how they function.

Hamas not only have children as members, but they kill the Palestinians as easily as they attack Israel.

Yes, the situation is horrible.

It is interesting. There are 22 Arab countries and they are not accepting Palestinian refugees. They fear bringing in Hamas members, also they fear and hate Palestinians. There is a history ...
