Trump had the lad Zelensky over to tell the lad how it is. Unfortunately for Zelensky he has some silly notion that he is also a "President" just like Donald, laugh at that one, Little Zel also has some crazy idea that as "President" of Ukraine he should have some say in the affairs of "his" country, another laugh. Short of Donald hitting Little Zel in the fact with a cream pie, it couldn't be funnier!

p/s Donald even made some snide remark about Little Zel's "gym gear" he was wearing.

Dear mhaze,

.

I wrote :

"Trump was recruited [by the KGB] in the 1980s "

And you replied :

« Fa cryin' out loud. This again!!.

The US alphabet agencies (FBI/CIA/DOJ) have been working on proving exactly this claim for over decade now. The Mueller investigation ran for 2 years and cost over $30 million to try to prove collusion between Trump and Russia. They found precisely nothing. »
.

No, mhaze, the US alphabet agencies have never investigated “exactly this claim”.

What the US alphabet agencies investigated was entirely different. The Mueller special council only investigated Russian interference in the 2016 United States elections.

As far as I can ascertain, the recruitment of Trump by the KGB in the 1980s has never been investigated by any of the 17 agencies that make up the U.S. intelligence community.

The Mueller investigation "identified numerous links between the Russian government and the Trump campaign", found that Russia "perceived it would benefit from a Trump presidency" and that the 2016 Trump presidential campaign "expected it would benefit electorally" from Russian hacking efforts. However, "the investigation ultimately did not establish that members of the Trump campaign conspired or coordinated with the Russian government in its election interference activities".

Even for this investigation, which, as you say, cost the US taxpayers over $30 million, the evidence was not necessarily complete due to encrypted, deleted, or unsaved communications, as well as false, incomplete, or declined testimony.

As I indicated in my previous post, according to Alnour Moussaïev, an ex-member of the Russian KGB’s 6th division, Trump was recruited in the 1980s as an “honourable correspondent” with the code name “Krasnov.”

Here are a couple of articles with the details :

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alnur_Mussayev

Perhaps, in time, the truth of the matter will come out.

In the meantime, Trump's management of the Russian invasion of Ukraine does nothing to allay the suspicions one may have regarding his alleged association with Putin's Russia.

The Scythian campaign of Darius I, I glad you mentioned it mhaze, like the majority of Forumites I am totally familiar with the military expedition into parts of European Scythia by Darius I, the king of the Achaemenid Empire, in 513 BC. I'll let you into a little known fact, Darius would insist on Coco Pops for breakfast, I bet you didn't know that little fact, but then again, you are mhaze, who claims to know everything about everything.

"That they never intended to honour the deal and were just biding time in order to build up the military."

Which they proceeded to not do. Yes very convincing.

"He's already pretty much stated he will accept Russian terms on the disputed territories.."

Nup.

"What do you make of this?"

Complete rubbish. Just wishful thinking from your stock standard apologist for Hamas. There's zero evidence that soldiers are resigning over Israel. The fact is that there's a clear majority of USians who favour Israel. Soldiers were leaving the armed forces in droves primarily because of the DEI crap that the leadership was pushing. Alpha males who join the army don't want to be told they'll have to bunk down with some bloke who wants to pretend he's a sheila. Since Trump has banned DEI in the armed forces, recruitment has skyrocketed.

"Danish PM: peace in Ukraine may be more dangerous than ongoing war"

Yep the Europeans intend to fight the war to the last drop of Ukrainian blood and the last dollar of US aid

You're right Banjo,

Mueller investigated an extensive list of completely unproven, unevidenced, unsubstantiated set of accusations from a range of anti-Trump fringe-dwellers.

This is a completely different set of unproven, unevidenced, unsubstantiated accusations from one anti-Trump fringe-dweller.

Completely different.

In fact, included in the accusations is only one testable fact and that turns out to be untrue... a complete fabrication. Mussayev claimed Trump was recruited in 1987 and that he, Mussayev , was working in the KGB at the time. We now know that's not true. Proceed from there.

The fact is Mueller and his 30 odd investigators were desperate to get something, anything on Trump in order to try to overturn the 2016 election. They didn't just investigate the original accusations which the FBI already knew, before the investigation even started, were rubbish. They investigated everything they could get their hands on. And found bupkis.

But those who can't understand Trump's position on Russia will continue to rationalise their misunderstand by falling for these fantasy stories.

Well lookie here. Paul's learnt how to do a google search. And he learned something new. Wonders will never cease.

While you're at it, the Median invasion of Scythia and its aftermath are a fascinating read. Start with Herodotus and proceed from there. In particular focus on the story of Miltiades which will lead you seamlessly into reading about the Battle of Marathon, one of the most consequential events in the history of the western world.
