"Trump admits NATO is the cause for the war."

Poor AC. Just struggles to understand anything since he's got this blinkered view of the world.

Trump was asked what concessions he'd like to see as regards the peace deal he's putting together to end this stupid war. He responded that he didn't want to get into that but that "NATO you can forget about, I think that probably the reason the whole thing started".

Not that NATO started the war, which AC so vehemently and inaccurately wants to believe. But that not taking Ukrainian NATO membership off the table was the reason the whole thing started. So he was taking NATO membership off the table. So the war started because the west refused to entertain Putin's paranoia.

If these simple things evade AC's understanding, its not at all surprising how little he gets.

BTW, I was searching back through past threads looking for a link I'd previously provided which I needed for another site I was working on, and came across this doozie from AC where he said that, "if Israel started a war with Hezbullah, it would be the beginning of the end for Israel." Yet another in the long line of erroneous predictions from AC.

Far from it being the end of Israel, it turned out to be the end for Hezbullah, Assad and the Iranian proxy empire. AC couldn't have been more wrong.

ttbn,

If all this goes over your head, you don't need to participate. But sitting in the bleachers firing the occasional spit ball is rarely a good look.

Hi mhaze,
I'm not in any way certain that it's the end for Hexbollah.
Sure they took a hit, but I think they're just stepping back and seeing if the Lebanese military can deal with things on their own.
An estimated 1.4 million people attended Nasrallah's funeral.
Israel has been running a scorched earth policy on small towns and villages in southern Lebanon, mainly just out of spite it seems, setting booby traps amongst the rubble for any civilian that returns.

Some who have read the rare earth documents have stated that it doesn't commit anybody to anything.

>>Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard has fired more than 100 intelligence officers from 15 agencies for using a government chat platform for discussions that included topics like polyamory, gender transition surgery and politics.
“I put out a directive today that they all will be terminated and their security clearances will be revoked,” Gabbard told Fox News on Tuesday.<<

Hi ttbn,

"Trump doesn't need a cabinet or chosen experts like Elon Musk.
All he has to do is read the copious, day in day out, comments of the expert posters here."
- A few experts have been wondering what he's actually doing.

mhaze,

I'm not meaning to be nasty; your stuff is usually accurate and sensible. But, arguing with the same idiots, who are never going to change? That’s a waste of effort, as is the delusion that the trouble you go to will make any difference to anyone or anything.

I'll tell you one reason why Putin never wanted this war and never wanted to invade.
- Because it takes the large majority of Russian speaking people in Ukraine in the eastern regions out of the democratic process.
With independence, they no longer vote in Ukrainian elections.

But the collective west kept pushing until Russia was forced to act.
The potential for war was even discussed in the Extending Russia policy paper from RAND corporation prior to the invasion.

Earlier mhaze, you mentioned Saudi Arabia.
You were right about the oil I think, but maybe not so much the levant, in this case...

Thought that comes to mind:

'It's the economy stupid'
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/It%27s_the_economy,_stupid

"It's the economy, stupid" is a catchphrase that means that the primary concern of American voters is the state of the U.S. economy, and how the economy affects their personal finances.

Here's some info we should both be paying attention to.
