Donald Trump's statement, “At the end of the day, they’re not coming after me. They’re coming after you, and I’m just standing in the way”, has been proven true. And, inspired by the hate-talkers inside and outside of the political machine, a lunatic tried to get Trump out of the way.
Donald Trump is truly the only man standing between the Free World and its enemies. All other Western politicians are pathetic compared with this man, who is now being compared with that down to earth ‘Roughrider’ (he was the leader of that fighting group), Teddy Roosevelt. Roosevelt was also shot by evil people who feared him as much as Leftists fear Donald Trump today. Roosevelt was also smeared as “a self-obsessed, egotistical megalomaniac”, and just about everything else the lunatics could make up. The same sort of haters we have today, that encouraged a lunatic to try to kill Trump. Thousands of people were responsible for both shootings. We have some such here on OLO. Unlike Trump, Roosevelt had the opportunity to ask his assailant why he did it, but he never got an answer from the maniac. Donald Trump, like Roosevelt, has been spared to show just how tough and strong the U.S can be again with the right leaders. Posted by ttbn, Tuesday, 16 July 2024 10:11:47 AM

Biden admits it was a "mistake" for him to say he wanted to put a bullseye on Donald Trump.
Then he rambled on: "How do you talk about the threat to democracy which is real, when a president says things like he says. Do you just not say anything because it might incite somebody?" Posted by ttbn, Tuesday, 16 July 2024 10:39:43 AM

There's a difference between reacting or responding to
somebody's wild claims, and alarming negativity, and making those wild claims and attempts to incite in the first place. The antipathy, hatred, and bile towards any perceived criticism and calls for toning things down and for calm - should not be silenced. Posted by Foxy, Tuesday, 16 July 2024 11:15:46 AM

First the Left started calling Donald Trump names. He got more popular.
Then the Left impeached him, making him more popular again. The same mob fabricated stories about ‘staging a coup'. Same result. They weaponised the judicial system against him. More popularity and a huge increase in donations to his campaign. And now - they have tried to kill him. And that seems to have really put him on a pedestal. After police started hunting for a killer, Trump was still left on the podium! Police were on a roof just 150 metres from the roof the shooter was! The crowd spotted the shooter before police did! The Left is still calling for violence against Trump! The Left is still calling him a ‘fascist’ a ‘dictator’, ‘a Hitler’. They are not even to pretending that they wouldn't have been happy to see Trump dead. Posted by ttbn, Tuesday, 16 July 2024 1:32:26 PM

The Left wanting Trump dead?
That piece of nonsense has been dis-spelled by documented reactions world-wide. Normal, rational people don't harbour those kind of thoughts. Extremists and fanatics do. Thankfully fanatics and extremists - are a small minority in this country. Comparing Teddy Roosevelt to Donald Trump? An informative article in the link given below tells us that: "Sure there are some superficial similarities. Both were born into moneyed New York families, both had wealthy demanding fathers who profoundly shaped them and both took on the political establishment of their era." "But Roosevelt was a progressive who battled corporational monopolies, disdained the idle rich and had a genuine compassion for the poor." "He championed many reforms - a living wage, a social safety net that included Workmen's Compensation, pensions for the elderly - adding to what he called a "square deal" for the less fortunate. Trump's signature policy victory during his only term in office was the passage of a tax cut that largely benefited corporations and the wealthy." We're told that both men shared an enormous ego. "Roosevelt's daughter Alice once said - "He wanted to be the corpse at every funeral. The bride at every wedding. And the baby at every Christening." "Trump's need for constant ego stroking is well documented and Roosevelt's ego was just as big as his carving on Mount Rushmore." "A healthy ego is not necessarily bad for a president. It took enormous self-confidence for a relatively inexperienced senator with a funny name to think he could become the nation's first black president." Well, blow me down, a few hours after Trump called for the security to be given, the WhiteHouse announced that they would indeed provide RFK with a security detail.
Its almost like Trump is already running the government.
