"The US President will be remembered for steering the
US to recovery and giving his party a chance to beat Trump
again."

"Joe Biden, 81, holed up at a Delaware beach house with a
bad cough after a COVID-19 diagnosis, ended his presidential
re-election campaign on Sunday,( 21st July). It was a
selfless decision that put the country's interests before
his own. "

"An act of grace that many see as vividly contrasting with the
narcissism of his opponent Donald Trump."

"It also now sets the stage for a completely different sort of
election in November as top Democrats rapidly rushed to endorse
Vice President Kamala Harris, which the President himself did."

Now things have changed.

"Now the Republicans will have to deal with issues, the lack of
policies, of mental competence, and an aging candidate."

"Although President Biden spent decades striving for the
crown, and he seriously believed he could finish the job, the
President ultimately realised that it was not about him and
never had been."

Trump has announced on social media that he was pulling
out of the plans for a Presidential debate that was scheduled
on September 10, which he had previously agreed to. There were
to be two Presidential debates.

Now -

There will be no more Presidential debates scheduled before
the election.

US Vice President Kamal Harris's campaign has broken
fundraising records, racking in $81 million in the
first 24 hours.

We're told that this eye-watering figure is the largest
amount of money raised in a 24 hour span in presidential
history.

There seems to be a "groundswell" of support behind the
Vice President.
