Armchair Critic,

I'm not a supporter of violence. I do not support
the policies of the Israeli Government. I do not
support Putin's invasion of the Ukraine. And having
lived and worked in the United States - where I witnessed
so much vi9olence, I do not support violence in any
form. And, as
US President Joe Biden said - what happened to
former US President Donald Trump - "It's sick."
All of us should condemn this action.
I do. And I'm sure that you must also. Being the civil
person that you obviously are from your posts. Who teaches
us so much about love and peace on this forum.

J.D Vance: "The Central premise of the Biden campaign is that President Donal Trump is an authoritarian fascist who must be stopped at all costs. That rhetoric lead directly to Trump's attempted assassination.

Congressman Mike Collins stating 'Joe Biden sent the orders'

Steve Scalise: "For weeks Democrat leaders have been fueling ludicrous hysteria that Donald Trump winning re-election would be the end of democracy in America..... This incendiary rhetoric must stop."

Steve Miller: "The entire campaign message of the Democratic Party has been the vile and monstrous lie that Trump and the GOP are trying to end democracy. This mammoth lie... This terrible hate and defamation must stop."

Sad to see people spouting more division and hate
More usual tactics from Trump supporters of more lies,
misconceptions, accusations, and - "fake news."
Inciting violence ends in violence.
Sad that America has come to this.
More calm rhetoric is badly needed. Hopefully we won't now
see an attempt on President Biden's life.

Violence and guns.

The land of the Free and the Brave?

America badly needs a leader who will unite
not divide.

The Democrats from Biden on down have been saying for years that Trump is basically Hitler. Now they are all rushing to say how relieved they are that he survived the left's attempt to assassinate him.

If you really believed he was Hitler you wouldn't be relieved he is still alive. You would have cheered his death.

They are hypocrites from Biden through Harris and on down.

The bullet missed killing Trump by millimetres. Divine intervention?

What America needs right now is calm not ramping
up more division and hate. Is the country capable
of change? We shall have to wait and see. Trump
supporters will milk this for all it's worth.
Which won't achieve anything productive. Trump
will probably print t-shirts with "I will survive,"
written on them and give a full blown picture
of him with blood on his ear and face,
and sell the t-shirts at a lucrative price. He's
not one to pass by a business opp.

On the plus side- perhaps this may make some voters
see - the kind of leader that Trump will really be.
Does America need more violence and gun-mentality?
More shootings in churches, schools, and now
campaign rallies? More access to guns?

More incitement in photo ops, in rallies, more stirring,
More fist displays?
More manipulation?

Will America see the world's reaction to this vile
act - from world leaders -and people - and take heed?

Or will it continue to finger-point and stir even more?

Expect retaliation to follow. Even a war - between the
sides. Things can get worse.

And what we post in discussion forums does matter.
