Dear diver dan,

.

You wrote :

« You do bleat on about preconceived ideas concerning the inequity of the inequality, as you perceive, of the Australian Indigenous race. »
.

I don’t recall having done that, diver dan. Would you kindly refresh my memory a little ?
.

« From my vantage point, getting a large swath of society offside with resentment towards them by high minded attempts to equalise perceived injustices through the eyes of elitist activists with little concept of what really matters to them, is counterproductive towards an honest and welcome inclusion. »
.

From my vantage point too.
.

« Thus, my reference to the Roman Empire. It’s meant to belittle such hypocrisy. »
.

Roman imperialism was not strictly speaking colonialism.

Roman expansion typically involved the establishment of military garrisons and the imposition of Roman law and administration in conquered territories. While the Romans did establish colonies in some areas, they were generally small settlements of Roman citizens rather than large-scale colonial enterprises aimed at exploiting resources and exerting control over local populations.

Roman imperialism and European colonialism indisputably brought progress to conquered peoples, but the more conservative elements resented its imposition.

They resented the political and cultural domination and exploitation of themselves and their resources.
.

Voluntarily accepted immigration is not colonisation (political and cultural domination and the exploitation of conquered peoples and their resources).

According to researchers at the University of Oxford, more than 8 out of 10 people in the world will live in Asia or Africa by 2100 and the world population is due to peak at the end of the century.

Today, the most densely populated countries are Macao, Monaco, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Gibraltar. Singapore is more than 200 times as dense as the United States and 2,000 times as Australia.

To avoid the dramas of illegal mass migration we need to take stock of world demographics and the forces at work in determining their foreseeable geographical patterns to manage them intelligently on a global cooperative basis, as effectively, economically and humanely as possible.

BP.

The most important comparative point you make, is the fall of the Western Roman Empire, and is a good basis for comparison to current events; with a weak and indecisive US in precipitous decline. A pathetic condition of the current US with our cart hitched to it.
Honorius Biden and his obedient Stilicho Generals, make a mockery of Democracy and all of us in the West left to watch the slow train wreck.

The Obama/Biden Democrat Administration, eaten out with Rainbow Decadence and corruption over a short decade, has probably spoiled any real chance of salvation from the decline and lost credibility: Not helped at all with the succession of military blunders, culminating in the Nuclear arming of Iran, and the rise of an Islamic controlled ME directly strengthening the rising Chinese Empire, which according to US propaganda, is the arch enemy of the West.

The only way to make sense of it, is a look through the looking glass with Alice.

The future of the US can be viewed in that light IMO.

Western is not the domain of white people. There are more Westerners among Africans, Indians & Asians than Europeans. Western is not racial it's a mentality !

The 'West' is made up of countries with Judeo-Christian, democratic, rule-of-law countries, with white populations. Other people can live in the 'West' - often to the detriment of the 'West', as we are now seeing with the increasing immigration of non-Westerners.

Note: This is not a criticism of non-Westerners, but different people were originally put in different places for a reason. And yes - before the cranks start barking, white people were not natural to our continent. But, it is not our fault that the 'grand design' was meddled with, and there is nothing that can be done about it now.

I am old enough to recall when the term "The Western World"
was used to describe countries that had democratic,
capitalist governments and were aligned alongside the United
States, and the UK, and European settled countries referred to
as "First World Countries" or the "Cold War West." This
group stood in contrast to the 2nd World Countries of the
USSR led communist Soviet bloc.
