In the absence of evidence, DNA, or medical tests,
Mr Lehrmann could not be found guilty. The law can't
convict a man on something she said he did.

This case was not about political movements, parties,
workplace culture or Mr Lehrmann's past behaviour, or
even about the experiences of other women in
parliament.

This case was about what really happened on a couch in
a room on Saturday 24th March 2019.

Mr Lehrmann has dropped his defamation suit against
NewsCorp. They paid a large portionof his legal expenses.
Ms Higgins has been financially compensated.

The case should now be closed. Certainly there are lessons
to be learned from all this. And hopefully for both parties
they have been.

This entire episode was a political witch hunt and Labor manipulated and lied to frame an innocent man to get political advantage. Bruce Lehrmann has had his reputation unfairly ruined and deserves compensation

Walter Sofronoff has been caught out and will never practise again as a barrister and may be struck off. Lisa Wilkinson and 10 News at the forefront of the charge are being sued and I guess that Katy Gallager will also have to face the Music and Higgins won't get away scot-free either.

It is now time to punish the actual guilty parties.

You can't be accused of ignorance anymore after all the attention to this case & most other topics here so, it has to be more than ignorance, an unkind but very much deserved descriptive word starting with 's' is more appropriate !

Dear Shadow Minister,

A report on the prosecution of Bruce Lehrmann over the
alleged rape of Brittany Higgins has accused the ACT
top prosecutor of "knowingly lying" to the ACT chief
justice. The inquiry into Mr Lehrmann's prosecution
apparently was damning.

I gather the report has not yet been released.

Not sure what happens next.

The report has come out and it was so scathing that the ex-DPP is unlikely to be able to practise law ever again and the ACT is likely to face a massive lawsuit from BL and the police that were forced off the force.

Higgins is facing a defamation lawsuit from Reynolds for lying and may have to give up the $3m that was donated to her by Labor. The guilty will be punished.
