As the details of the extent of the political interference in his prosecution become available, it is clear that this trial was a kangaroo court based on zero evidence and against the recommendations of the police.

The Chief Prosecutor Shane Drumgold who ran this charade is now looking at unemployment and losing his legal license. The ACT government is also facing a multi $m lawsuit that they will most likely lose.

"Bruce Lehrmann will lodge a multimillion-dollar claim for compensation against the ACT Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions as the territory government examines what are expected to be serious adverse findings against chief prosecutor Shane Drumgold.

Mr Lehrmann’s explosive claim of malfeasance by the ODPP emerged on the same day the ACT government received the Sofronoff report into misconduct in the prosecution case against the former Liberal staffer.

ACT Chief Minister Andrew Barr has drawn fire over his decision to delay the public release of the report, with former defence minister Linda Reynolds condemning the “inexplicable suppression” of Mr Sofronoff’s findings.

On Friday Mr Barr said the government would consider the report “through a proper cabinet process” that would take three to four weeks, with the Legislative Assembly updated at the end of August. It is believed at least two of the potential findings against Mr Drumgold, who has been on leave since May and is not due to return until August 30, would be grounds for his dismissal as Director of Public Prosecutions and for removal from the roll of barristers."

Everyone involved in this case, except Bruce Lehrmann, should be out of work or in jail.

Give me a break.

So nothing about the fact that Higgins' private txts were leaked by the defence and which are still being drip fed to the media.

Nothing about the fact that Lehrmann was "the subject of multiple sexual assault and harassment allegations".

And nothing about a current case being prosecuted in Queensland?

I recall watching video footage of the evening that
Ms Higgins claimed she was raped. And thinking -
it didn't quite support her claims. Still that footage
has apparently disappeared, and in the meantime, Ms
Higgins has been paid an undisclosed amount (up to
$3 million) in compensation.

An independent board of inquiry was established to
investigate the ACT criminal justice system's
handling of the case after numerous complaints of
irregularities.

The inquiry continues.

Now we need to know just who approved that compensation payment, & get rid of all involved in it. It obviously was hush money to keep her quiet about those encouraging her in this political witch hunt.

"Canberra Liberals Acting Leader Jeremy Hanson said, arguing that Mr Barr should release the report immediately and in full.

“The public rightly expects this inquiry to be conducted without prejudice and released without interference.”

Mr Hanson said the unredacted release of the report’s unredacted findings needed to happen to “restore faith” in the ACT justice system and its impartiality and openness."

'restore faith' in the judicial system? Sorry, that horse has already bolted.

When a man is accused of anything sexual, irrespective of evidence or lack thereof, he is on a hiding to nothing. Justice runs a distant second. A women however, provided she picks the right victim, can end up with a few million $ for her trouble. The system is screwed (pun) and only lost careers and prosecutions will fix it ie it won't be fixed.

Which is why the ACT government won't release the report.

The fix is in.
