In a warning to all the people of the planet, United Nations secretary-general Antonio Guterres has told the world that this month, July 2023, will be according to science, the hottest month ever recorded on a world scale. Guterres warns; "The era of global warming has ended, and global boiling has arrived". The world should be shocked, Australians should be shocked, that the disasters of fire and flood which are becoming more frequent, and more severe, are happening at a faster pace than previously anticipated. Is it too late for this wake up call, have we already past the point of no return? I am optimistic that action will taken by those of goodwill, and at an accelerated rate than presently, all in a concerted effort to arrest the climatic affects of man made CO2 being released into the atmosphere.

"The global mean temperature for July is normally about 16C, but this month it has surged to about 17C. The UN World Meteorological Organisation (WMO) and European Union's Copernicus Climate Change Service said in a joint statement, it was "extremely likely" July 2023 would break the (world) record as the hottest month ever recorded." Shocking, but true!

Yes, we need to keep on having mass travel, gasoline spewing Sport, Air conditioning, Defence Force exercises, tearing up the ozone layers with rockets etc etc.
And speed up breeding useless consumers.

Dear Paul,

There was a Media Release on 4th August 2022 from the
PM's office which stated:

"The Albanese Government's Climate Change Bill 2022 has
passed the House of Representatives today."

We're told that - "The Bill will enshrine into law an
emissions target of 43% from 2005 levels by 2030 and
net zero emissions by 2050. It has brought together -
business, industry, unions, farmers, community and
conservation groups, all of whom have asked to put
Australia on the path of net zero emissions."

"Passing this Bill in the House of Representatives only
75 days after the election is an important step
towards implementing the Albanese Government's
"Power Australia" plan to create jobs,
and put downward pressure on power bills
and reduce emissions by boosting renewable energy."

Whether the Government succeeds or not is yet to be seen -
however - this is surely a step in the right direction?

Dear Paul,

I'll repeat a quote I used on another discussion.
I think it's appropriate here as well:

"If you really think that the environment is less
important than the economy,
try holding your breath while you count your money."
(Guy McPherson).

How can you tell the great Covid hoax is over?

They start the great boiling hoax. And the same people will fall for it.

"The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary."

H. L. Mencken

I'm starting to think that some people, like Paul, actually believe this garbage. Bet he believes CO2 is making fish left handed, as some ratbag academic claimed last year.

God help us.
