The state of Israel was created by a peoples belief in God's willingness to help them to do what they needed to do. They didn't rely on any nation, because no other nation gave a rats! No one country was comfortable in receiving them. They also understood not to deliberate about God's will when it came to decision making, because regardless of choice, his will be done. This nation born of slaves, persecuted to buggery and back by most everyone, most of the time in most places decided, collectively,"If it is to be, it's up to me!" and went ahead and did what they determined best. It apparently wasn't God's will that they fail, nor has history shown it his will for them to fail subsequent.
