st_alk (welcome to OLO) and R0bert - thank you for the interesting dialogue.

St_alk - I can understand your frustration - many of the aspersions cast towards Islam are cast out of fear and ignorance. It is helpful to have a Muslim explain Islam. It is ironic that many here who claim that Islam is "wicked" do not understand where Islam has its roots (the same as Judaism and Christianity). You will need to walk on eggshells within this forum - the anti-muslims will try to fault you no matter what you say - if they detect any defensiveness they will condemn you for it. They are doing the work of terrorists.

However, please do not let them deter you we need all the information and enlightenment we can get in order to understand.

In all things, balance.

st_alk, sorry I missed the welcome in my post. Also sorry if I have misunderstood what you were trying to say in your post. I look forward to having another muslim viewpoint in these forums.

I hope that your skin is thick enough to cope with the constant attacks which are likely to come from a small number of posters with fairly extreme views about Islam. If you are able to cope with that stuff and choose to treat the comments as a means to gain understanding you might find it fun and occasionally informative.

Scout, nicely said.

st_alk,

Welcome to OLO – Your frustration is a very common response from muslims when they see the truth.

You have been duped into believing that islam is a religion of God.

You say you have studied religions (how and where?) before converting (from what?) –

The bible has been changed – I ask you why?

The Qur’an has been changed by Mohammad many times. Initial manuscripts were burnt when it was printed years after his death.

The Qur'an both revolves and evolves around Mohammad. He used Allah (a fictitious god) to substanciate his claims.

Allah cannot be the God of the bible - different character, laws, revelations…

Mohammad was a revolutionary, a conquerer - so was Napoleon and Alexander. Wanting to abolish idolatry in Mecca, he declared himself a prophet (no proof). And NO he was never mentioned in the bible, this is another lie.

When he encountered opposition, first from the Meccans, then from Jews and Christians in Madinah, he changed his approach from peaceful to satanic… until he died.

I am NOT degrading islam but simply stating facts.

The Qur’an confirms the Torah and Injil – DOES IT?
THe Injil (NT) says that Jesus is GOD incarnate - Q says He's not. Injil says Jesus is the last revelation from God - Mohammad says not so...

The Qur’an mentions prophets like Abraham, Moses, but the stories are distorted and therefore fake. How can God reveals two different accounts first to the Jews and Christians then change the stories to suit Mohammad and his invented religion?

Jesus is mentioned in the Qur’an as a prophet, but He is MUCH more than that. And by the way He drank alcohol because God never said it is ‘haram’ to drink, Mohammad decided it was so after some muslims arrived drunk at a meeting (check it out). New laws on the run.

Mohammad (not Allah) changed the kiblah from facing El-quds (Jerusalem) to Mecca in anger after the Jews and Christians exposed him as a fraud (not a true prophet).

I could go on...

Please ignore Coach - he lives in a world where his truth is the only truth. As a result he is very lonely and one should feel sorry for him.

He doesn't understand the common basis for Islam, Judaism and Christianity. Better to just let him live with his delusions - he is happier that way.

He is just trying to deliberately goad you so that he can then feel justified in denigrating you.

Even I know that Allah simply means God. I follow no formal religion believing it to be a very personal ideology. But I respect you and Coach to believe as you will - just not to force your doctrine upon others.

In all things, balance.

Coachy boy,

Once again caught red handed & out of depth on theology:

One comment on your NT "Jesus is God".

- Why would Jesus pbuh when asked about judgement day claims 'only the father knows'? (ie confirms is a different/ lesser being).
- Why would Jesus comfirm the Moses commandments (including explicitly "God is One").
- Why would Jesus on the cross say Elahi, lema shabaktani (exact meaning translation "God, why have you deserted me"?).
- If it was clearly mentioned, why the wait till 325 AD to bring the theory (Jesus is divine) then another 56 years to claim the Holy spirit too is God compelting the Trinity in 381 AD?
- Why is your theology out of sync with all previous prophets on the first commandments and following prophets?

There is a good old proverb about glass house and not thrwoing stones...something like that...

Peace,

Fellow_Human,

We've been through that many times.

You have just confirmed that that Qur'an is a different book if it claims that Jesus is not God.

The "trinity" is in all the bible ONLY if you bothered to read it for yourself instead of relying on the false teachings of your "holy" book.

You are not scoring any points with our audience (except maybe for the spiritually challenged muslim simpathisers Scout and RObert).

You know the Q is wrong but you have to cultivate the lies because it says that it all came from Allah and the copy of it is in haeven. If that was true why did it take 22 years for Allah to dictate it to Mo. Wouldn't be easier if he gave him the hard copy straight away like Moses.

Go back and re-read my last post and if you find any false statement about YOUR religion... we'll talk.
