He was in rehab for drink and drugs. He had just had his extra-marital affair exposed to the Texan model. He only spent 3 months, if that, in rehab then went straight back to work. Recovery and Rehabilitation doesn't work like that. It usually needs at least 12 months' ongoing treatment and support to help the addict continue with their recovery. He's certainly not getting support from her, since she scuttled off to the other side of the world for 5 months. He's not allowing himself to rehabilitate and recover by plunging straight into a heavy work schedule.He has set himself up for a relapse.Cancelling his concerts at the last minute could be the start of this. I feel sorry for him. He's turned into 'Mr. Kidman' and doesn't know what to do with it. I bet he relapses big-time in the next couple of months. And on the subject of Botaxia, the line-up of Australian actors in the support cast is awesome. Although she has the starring role, she will be shown up by the supporting cast for the non-actress she is, in the same manner she was shown up by Renee Zellweger in Cold Mountain.

What movie or interview have you ever seen her in that she doesn't use that breathless "Marilyn" voice? It does not become her. She comes off as the inane, uneducated, role player that she is.

I believe if this remake is made she will really talk up her affinity with MM...monroe actually lived a life that kidman loves to play on film, confused, troubled and ultimately tragic. As for Australia, morgan, she will not stand out in that movie, for sure. At this point she is a hindrence to the movies she's in. Just as sure as her next movie, The Invasion... or Visiting, whatever, its going to be another summer flop, despite what the showbiz media conglamerate says in their fluff pieces on her stuff. After years of her acumulating mediocre films, less and less people are getting exciting about her next one.

For those of us in the GLDU (Great Land Down Under), have you noticed that dear old Auntie (ABC to foreigners) is replaying “Grass Roots” late on sunday nights. For an example of class ensemble acting from a top notch cast (how they managed to get a collection of actresses and actors of this calibre available at the one time was remarkable in itself), you couldn't do better. Quite apart from the outstanding script.

The roles may all be caricatures, but they are played with such understated hyperbole (if that's not an oxymoron), and with such aplomb, that they are full of conviction - even to the background bit part of a Council street sweeper sloooooowly and repeatedly brushing the same patch of car park. This series is truly a study in group acting.

And why am I posting this here? Because, would NK ever be seen in something like this? Nah, firstly, as a TV series, it'd be beneath her, and secondly, there's no main “starring” role for her, yet she couldn't find a better vehicle to learn the art of acting with all that talent around her. But then, why ruin a superb production to benefit someone who wouldn't know how to take advantage of it!!

If it should ever travel OS, you non-Ozzies should do your darndest to catch it, and see what talent Australia really has, rather than judge us by the wax dummy. (Or by the hot-panted budgie).
