Queensland isn't just a COVID-19 election : Comments

By Graham Young, published 27/10/2020

Annastacia Palaszczuk has support for her COVID stance, but is still struggling to do better than last election. Much worse and Queensland will have a minority government.

The Qld nationals appear to have more sense if the link is anything to go by.

Hasbeen said- "That's 30,000 Canem Malum, not 3000."

Answer- Thanks for the correction Hasbeen.

Isn't it amazing how the progressive crowd remains so utterly stumm on the Qld Coalition's proposed move to cut back on youth crime ?

Also, the although insanely priced Water scheme, does not appear to make see the positives for so many in the future !
I suppose it just clearly displays their mentality towards others !

Interesting links Individual- I know many here will be pleased with the promotion of the Bradfield Scheme. Kudos.

This Bradfield type of proposal is definitely the way forward. It would provide everything from living area, food production, recreation & a host of indirect industries/employment for many & for many years to come. It'd be a kind of future-proofing Queensland & inland Australia.
Throw in a non military National Service along the way.
I always thought that big dams could serve another vital function besides water & electricity, they could help with garbage disposal also. Garbage could be mulched & mixed with a binding material similar to cement with gravel & the valley beyond the dam could be land-filled for decades to come. This would also make a big dam breach-proof & literally make it a natural lake.

Desperate Deb, is trying everything to win. Everything from getting into bed with the two Nazi parties, to vote buying with a $300 cash splash. Will it work, time will tell.

Indy,

There are rare occasions I agree with you. Now is such an occasion. A "Bradfield" type scheme, if feasible, and sustainable, is good from several aspects, nation building, training/employment, economic benefit etc. Unfortunately I have to look at this from Politian's during an election campaign with some scepticism, a good idea at the time soon forgotten post election. The Morrison governments economic response has mostly been a wasteful knee-jerk, piss and wind reaction, with no future benefit. I cannot believe at the end of the day Australia will have incurred a trillion of debt, high unemployment and have nothing to show for it, like after a boozy party, nothing more than a gigantic headache! Don't get me wrong Labor would have did no better.
