My point is that your dislike of hearing Chinese is based on cultural distaste, if you could understand it you wouldnt dislike it. And not sure what you mean by "on the same level", Chinese (Mandarin) is much more complicated than any European language. We really should be making bilingual kids at a young age. Mandarin and Indonesian should be compulsory in my opinion, these 2 cultures will be our major trading parties in the future, our Anglo centric view of the world needs to end.
